When they explain how the amount of downloads affects their software, or why there need to be unique versions for each individual downloader, I’ll stop talking shit.
http://i.imgur.com/n26raIz.png now it’s being claimed “haters” tampered with the server, IF a tamper did happen a DDOS would have followed cause that’s the in thing. this info is suspect anyway, as it comes from a dude that found out about this whole thing from kotaku and decided that was enough evidence to dick ride them on facebook and youtube. Edit: He lied about how he found out.
It doesn’t. The amount of traffic would give slow download speeds but the .rar/zip file would be intact. If a bad download were to occur, the entire file would be corrupted and unable to extract.
Files inside a compressed rar/zip can’t be corrupted without the entire rar/zip being corrupted due to a bad download.
So… First it was the servers fault because haters were downloading the file generator “published” by Kotaku… Now it was because of haters who DDoSsed them…
This. Probably the best thread i’ve partecipated in in the last week. And i’m not counting only SRK, but every message board i’m an active member. I mean. This is Hilarious. Or maybe “This is Internet!”?
