Well if anyone want’s to post a link to this thread on another site it’s fine by me. I wasn’t trying to be vindictive or create a shit-storm with this, but it seems this thing is clearly bigger than I thought.
I’m just a fighting game fan that believes in doing what’s right. I thought by supporting a small developer that I was giving back to the community…I guess I put my trust in the wrong people.

Hell, i found that i was perma banned years ago despite never being on their forum ever and well never talking shit about their game here on SRK or DL.
I found out because i heard some members of SRK were banned because they talked “ill” about the game here so i decided to make an account on their forum just to see that yup i was preemptively perma banned as everyone posting on the thread on SRK

I used my girlfriend’s account to buy the game now… I recieved instructions to download a .rar file…
The .rar file was CORRUPT.
If I do not have a working game 24 hours after my purchase, I will call up paypal and notify them of the situation, in detail.
ALSO: Fun fact, I didn’t log in to the website for over 6 months… I even got the email from the webforum saying my account will be deleted for being inactive. I wasn’t banned originally, I just stopped posting months ago.
Fuck it, reposting the deleted post 3rd post or so. It was too hilarious.
If a mod wants me to edit it out let me know.

Edit: also note that whilst it makes them look bad, a corrupted .rar file doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s on their side or even that they are liable for it.

Anyway, stop trying to give them money so they won’t use that to go pay off a game reviewer or something, who will pretend he actually got the game, and get more people to try to buy, all thinking there is actually a game to buy because it was reviewed. Not to give them any more ideas, but usually game reviewers are sent a free copy/code ahead of release, or even after release for more press and to get the word out. Of course there is no release so they won’t have to do that, but just continue the very quick PR Damage control that they only want to do everywhere and not just make a game. Piling up so many people who don’t like their game. The one that doesn’t exist yet.
“There is not much else we can do” - from that email, can be used to say yeah, you can’t even make your game and finish it.
As well that last line about viruses sounds ominous and bad, like if they wanted to they would even send you a virus for emailing them. But it could just be a badly written translation. Thrown in there at the end and doesn’t line up with the other lines evenly justified, trailing off on its own there.

You are a brave man. Im actually amazed there is something to download now, but just be careful man. Ive never heard of a legit retail game download as an RAR file. It’s usually an exe (like GOG games for example). You tend to only see zipped game files in a pirated torrent download. The fact that it’s corrupt also more than a little strange. I don’t for the life of me know why you’d want to take that risk after everything said here, but if there’s actually something in that download, and not a virus, let us know.
