plasma cutter, line gun, and force gun where all you need. I tested every gun fully upgraded and these three stand out. (pre weapon patch upgrade)
I am really looking forward to DS 2.Part 1 is defiantly my favorite horror game and I hope all this added action doesn’t take away from the amazing atmosphere of the first. The problem with the horror genre is that if your too powerful then there is no reason to be scared.Silent hill,f.e.a.r and doom III xp all fell to this.So having stronger weapons will bother me if the ammo is plentiful because lots of ammo equates to being overpowered.
Crosses fingers hoping move works smoothly and online multiplayer is balanced
Rhio2k If you ever played Prototype it will be something like that (but better) where each day the city becomes progressively more…crowded lol yet with fewer citizens =P.
But w.e Like all DS fans I really can’t wait for this game, I really never finished Dead Space: Extraction So I’m for sure gonna pick up the Special Edition for the PS3. Has anyone here ever watched the animated movie?
I liked the game and all, but really didn’t become a fan 'til I went to the Dead Space panel @ PAX East and saw how fleshed out the universe was for this game; the developers put a lot of thought and work into the series.
I personally can’t wait for DS2 and plan on getting the PS3 version with Extraction.

It looks sick but I’m confused because it says you have to work together but then it also says dismember your friends so does one side play as necro and the other as engineers or is there both co op horde mode and death match? and if there’s both then how come no engineer vs engineer footage was shown? I remember in GI’s feature article on DS2 it was stated there would be competitive multiplayer.
Game made some interesting changes. New difficulty levels seem nice (2 levels over normal, then one more you have to unlock). I’m going to be grabbing the PS3 version.
