Dead Or Alive Ultimate Thread

Hayabusa is indeed powerful. The fact that all of his Punch Counters can lead into the Izuna Otoshi makes him a very deadly opponent. I have won countless matches using Hayabusa against people who proceed to use Ein and Jann Lee. Three Hi-Counter Holds is all I would need to turn the match in my favor. However, I couldn’t proceed further with Hayabusa other than relying on a punch counter which resulted in me losing many matches. Hayabusa just isn’t my style. I prefer to use Ayane.

Been thinking about trading this game for Halo 2. Not that the game is bad, but the rank whores in DOA2:U totally killed the game for me now.

SvC, CvS 2, GGX2 those three haven’t give me such a hard time with rank whores. In DOA2:U, lets face it, I don’t care about the popularity chart on xbl, but it sucks that the mid kick counters were changed to make me feel like a scrub playing mind games against a SS-A graded player. What’s the strategy now? Pick a character from popularity chart to win. If a bad SS-A graded player see’s me picking a least popular character, he/she will call me noob. Or, if I defeated two A graded players with Bass against a popular character, they think it’s a bullshit win.

I don’t understand anything in DOA2 XBL anymore. How about it, trade this game for Halo 2 or Street Fighter AE import? :xeye:

DOA2:U rank whores= I’m going back to playing DOA 3 against the cpu.

Jann Lee’s scream taunt= top tier!!

I haven’t seen anyone act like that. Either way, it’s a great online experience if you find the right people to fight and learn from them. I could care less about rankings just so long as I improve. Of course I haven’t had anyone call me a noob for not using a less popular character mainly because I use Ayane. I would hope you keep DOA:U because I enjoy fighting the less popular characters just as a change and to see different strategies. If you care for a game, just send a friend request and I’ll invite ya. I wouldn’t mind trying to see how ya are before you trade it in, if you do so.

Halo 2 and SF:AC are both good games with great online play (Definitely Halo 2) but it depends on your preferences.

you gotta keep DOA, Anniversary Collection’s online experience is pale in comparison. hit me up and i’ll give you some Lei Fang and Ryu action. i have SF:AC and it’s pretty weak. don’t get me wrong. 3s is my favorite fighter ever, but it’s not so hot online. Halo2 is good too.

All those three are still not bad. Maybe a few more months getting matches with better players including you two might keep me getting used to online fun factor aside from it’s horrible rank whores compare to the other fighters.

Damn, Ragnarok Online is occupying my fighting game needs. :wow:

Add me to Silent Ninja. I want a high rank but if I lose… well that just means I need to rethink my stragety. Big deal if I lost points. It’s all good fun

GT: JamoDOA

you guys hit me up. i go my tag is “Kingraoh”. late

to further add to the request to keep the game, remember that you don’t have to talk or listen to people online. I mean. just dont’ fight with your headset, and if you hear them through your speakers talking nonsense then oh well. Don’t let the rank system ruin the game experience for you. the scrubbiest people are ones who complain because they lost to an unpopular/low-tiered character. If they’re that good, they shouldn’t have lost. And I personally don’t think that all of the people of high rank are that extradordinary right now. Most just know the game better than anyone since it’s a remake (not trying to take away from highly skilled players at all).

dont feel bad about losing against those players because those guys have been playing since day 1 on live and been doing better than anybody else. if you are bad at counters, dont use them period. i do not have live but i do know that its more beneficial to play lower ranked people as those people would be more on your level and you learn a lot more rather than getting your ass kicked repeatedly by these high ranked players.

when they start countering a lot, start throwing, or trick them into thinking youre gonna attack but then, throw instead. counter throws do a lot of damage when you catch someone trying to counter you.

also pay attention to the tier listing, and read up on why the characters are placed where they are, you may be at the top of your game w/ a certain character but have a tougher battle against a higher tiered character, play counter character (if you can) so you have an easier time vs that character.

There is a tier listing for this game? Where at?

doacentral.com

hello, been awhile since I’ve been to this site.

Perhaps some of you might have seen me in this game, I go by the xbox live name of jotunstrom, and my nickname is scrub power. Bass is my primary char, and when I want to switch it up, I usually go Bayman, Kasumi, or Helena.

I know I saw a game channel at one time named Dios SRK or something.

I mainly play this game for fun, I could care less about ranking> I never really cared for this game competitively, but the way multiplayer is set up (up to 8 in a room, what other game has that?) makes this game kind of addicting.

wow and you ask this question when above post, i talked about paying attention to the tier listing and reading up on it, also i even gave the website for it, it seems like you totally ignored it altogether, why not read before you ask questions

Wow. Your absolutely right! lol So sorry bout that.
