The game looks amazing. Disappointing there are no billboards of anything related to the DOA universe though. Even a Tina billboard or something would make sense.
I don’t see how the non ninja characters are going to fit on these stages.
I cant see Zack ploughing Tina into a bus.

Hayabusa defensive held the same punch twice in that trailer. One did an izuna otoshi defensive hold attack, the other did his old standard H+P throw when connected. Perhaps this is a hint that the Izuna Otoshi may have been made an advanced defensive hold (typically double-direction inputs).
What do you mean you can’t see non ninjas in these stages? its so modernized japan I think the more casually attired fighters will make more sense in these levels. Anyway it looks like a lot of fun I can’t wait to see Ayane and Tina. As well as things like tag battle
Best part of this game other than the environmental stages is definitely the fact that like half the cast is fuggin ninjas. Shinobis and kunoichis all day. Ironically, my favorite character in this game is Helena who isn’t even a ninja. I generally like characters that are stance/mix up heavy and i like her sexy, but classy appearance.
They should make the remaining half pirates.

im kinda lost in the direction this thread was going @_@’ i just know…they announced a DOA5, people mad about it…or people don’t care…maybe alittle bit of both…idk.
DOA has always been rock paper scissors tho…ever since it shared the same arcade board as VF2…yeah AM2 bitches…
but they both stayed 3 button games…im not sure how people feel about that…considering SF has double the buttons…but if anything i think they both did innovations for fighting games in general there is no denying it…well i would hope not…somethings deserve credit…
i think the biggest problem that had happen to DOA was its own community killed it, you can go to Tom Brady for that story~ that and Team Ninja had to dig its self out a hole Itagaki left for them as he left…Im glad to see a new one tho…im a bit salty that we never got a DOA4 hardcore for PS3 but i can live without it now~its good to see Team Ninja getting back into the Race…i kinda want to see the big 3D fighters go back at it again like it was in the early 00’s
lets just hope DOA brings more to the table then boobs…well dont forget the boobs…too important at this point~

Well, there’s still something of a community left at FSD, althought it’s mostly just people bitching about shit on the trailer so far.

I wouldn’t call it “bitching” as much as analyzing and critiquing. TeamNINJA also said on their trailer that the fighting engine is also not finished yet and they’ll show off the changes when that’s done as well. I’m hoping they took the feedback from the community to heart. We’ll just have to wait and see really.
They haven’t necessarily said that, just that the FOCUS on the boobs is smaller. In other words, they probably won’t throw them in your face.

well if anything DOAD did for DOA was fix continuity so it fits in with NG little better…but NG3 like…wtf happened…bro ryu…your arm…and…i had no idea you were a sadistic bastard…that dude said he had a family…anyways it looks like if you Izuna drop people now their heads dont explode on impact anymore…and the UT is useful but is kinda lame…
back to DOA tho…i hope some of the under used characters get balance tweaks so you dont only see Ninja and Jan Lee all day…or your random rapist err Bayman…
DOAD hurt the story more than helped it. Here’s the summation of DOAD’s storyline “Hayabusa does everything. He’s a Super Ninja after all.”
Hey man, you and me both. However, it seems the competitive fighting game community acts like it is a neg.
thats the general gist of things originally anyways…only the Ninja had somewhat of a story in the first place…Ryu(NG poster boy) does do everything…
in orignal DOA1 I personally always wondered how in the hell Kasumi was even able to kill Raidou…DOAD made that apparent.
DOA2 was simple Ryu Beat alot of ass and killed a tengu.
DOA3 Ayane Kills Omega …lolz with the help of Ryu…i though she could have done it herself considering she could take care of herself in NG2.
DOA4 Ryu does the Grunt work for Hayate and co. Alpha-152 is pretty irrelevant…
it makes you think tho…Ryu is kind and whatnot… in DOA but a jackass in NG…what the hell happens after NG3…hopefully it ties in with DOAD. fighting games not really suppost to have story but when it ties into a action game…it kinda has to…
