SO still no word one those last 2 new characters huh?
The two that have been announced for IPL are Eliot and Brad Wong.
Helena, Pai, and Mila are the remaining three that are rumored to be in, with Helena on display in the story mode CG trailer.
Alpha-152 was shown in the CG trailer but is unknown if she will be playable and is expected to be the boss of the game again.
Gen Fu was shown in the trailer but has been rumored to be cut from gameplay.
Leon has been rumored to be cut from gameplay and has yet to be seen.
I sure hope she is playable who doesn’t want to play as a naked plasma lady.

I know Helena isn’t in this build yet, but dammit, I wanna see her in action already.
I really like how clear something like ‘guard break’ or ‘critical strike’ flashes in the screen.
The new stage is really awesome, destroying some living room. Also, I don’t think this is said enough. The game is looking beyond stunning.

I’ll be using him. He has some similarities with Shun Di (like backturned K+G, although the input might be different in DOA, I think I saw 66P+K too, and the grab that takes Shun/Brad to the back of the opponent, also backturned P+K+G,P,P and 4K+G but only going back one kick away, also P+K from laying on the ground stance, and probably more things I don’t remember, edit: like the grab or K from handstand stance)

I’m loving the gameplay so far but…am I the only one who things that body parts are dipping into the stages waaaay too much when characters are falling and getting up?
YEEEEEEES to this recent press news about secret unlockable characters for DoA 5. That stuff was nostalgic, it was there for DoA 4 but that was YEARS ago.
Also, More talk On Ryo (Main character from Shenmu) may be a sought out cameo character. If that happens i won’t be bummed out EIN not being there.

Okay so I have pretty generic and broad question.
I popped in DOA4 today just to fool around, but I never played it using a fight stick before.
I was always on pad before SSF4 so my question is how do you guys typically configure the buttons?
I messed around with a few layouts but they all felt weird, plus the configuration in the menu is a different 6 button layout than my 8; thus the buttons are in different order as well. (I use the standard Mad Cats fair)
at any rate I remember when I used to be fairly good at this game – I couldn’t even touch the CPU on hard today.
It’s a 3 button game just like VF so I configure my buttons the exact same for both:
PS3/360
X/A - Block
Square/X: Punch
Triangle/Y: Kick
Basically thumb = block, index = punch and middle = kick. I disable all my other buttons, I never use macros. I press the appropriate combination of buttons for anything else I need.
Hey good deal, I like that a lot better than the defaults and other configs I did.
Now I just need to play thru some DOA4 and buy 5 when it hits.
actually really impressed with how well 4 looks to me these days, it held up really well for a launch title!

Interesting watch for episode 2. They seemed really determined to change the game in this iteration from Drastically changing the face of DoA (Kasumi) to Collaborations with Sega VF series. Also interesting that more outfits got revealed in this episode that are looking great for some characters

Best Ninja in a Videogame ever bar none. Glad DoA has such a great character in the series and i don’t even use Hayabusa
