Is it me or…does Bayman reminds you of Chris Redfield…
Lot of people have been saying that actually.
Of course, if he switches to his classic DOA 1 attire people will say he looks like Rolento.
If he switches to joke outfit, Scuba Steve. Personally with all that body mass I’d say he reminds me more of Ralf Jones.
Doesn’t matter what he does, really. That’s the price of being a less known character among fighting games. You’ll always be compared to something more recognizable.
All that matters is that he can kick ass this time around.
well i mean in general to his redesign, before he almost looked like van dam with dat slick back in DOA2(you know the costume) and his DOA1 costume is rather iconic, i couldn’t compare that to Rolento~ but that scuba steve costume is epic.
his redesign kinda akin’s to RE5 Chris(well lost in nightmares Chris). but then Chris himself is rather different then say RE: CV or RE1…
but those OH he has look dirty though…
I would be happier if Christie’s suit starts fully zipped. And unzipping it is an optional move or is caused by damage or something. Sometimes the sexualisation can be -too- blatant.
I don’t think they can pull a old school Art of Fighting with that…I mean Soul Calibur does that to a extent too, idk it doesn’t seem like it goes well with DOA, but i wouldn’t put it past them since they have real time dirt effects now like VF5 or Tag2.
Bayman pulling that Chris Redfield, right smack in the middle of Modern Warfare 2.
That’s what we call, not giving a fuck.
I was hoping for Vanessa to jump out of one of those tanks and start beating the shit out of either one of them.
Oh well, maybe the next video will have another VF reveal.
Reminds me of Snake, whole thing reminded me of MGS for some reason
I lol’d at the tank assist, that’s far too unrealistic even for DOA lol, really not finding this “fighting entertainment” very entertaining, more gimmicky and annoying.
Saying that I did enjoy the fight, looked very smooth.
Now where’s Jann Lee!?!
Why unrealistic? They are in the middle of a battlefield. He told em like three times to gtfo
Now what is unrealistic I’d say is the construction stage. You have a nice little sparring session and cause a building to partially collapse, and also cause a huge traffic pileup on the ground. Cars and trucks are burning, people are screaming and dying, all so you could have a little one on one sparring session. Complete insanity.
At the point I recognized this, I just thought to myself… sure, why not!?
“unrealistic”, lol, is this 1997?
Trailer looked nice, but still wait and see for me. The movement options were always bunk in the DOA series, and the Hold mechanic is still whatever. Presentation is top-notch, but the gameplay is…well, still DOA.
lol was that him, I thought was coming from the chopper.
Hey don’t knock the 90’s.
I forgot Jann Lee killed a TRex in DOA4, carry on Team Ninja
Either way. Once the guerrillas fired off that RPG though, you knew shit was going down. Civilians don’t mean anything once the bullets start flying.
When random raptors come…thats when the shit hits the fan…
That’s when we put the game down and never pick it up again. Fuck that level.
IMO level didn’t look intense. If they are going for “Fighting Entertainment” I want to be submerged in my surroundings. It would have been really cool if they were literally in the middle of a battle zone, with tracer rounds firing over head, huge explosion, loads of noise, the occasional tremor from nearby airstrikes. Instead you just have the faint sound of distant gun fire, and a tank waving it’s cannon waving erratically in the air …not exactly innovative.
Femto was joking when he said this is 1997, but Team Ninja hasn’t done anything original here that hasn’t been done for years now. This is hardly pushing the console and it is certainly not breaking any new ground in the genre
I was just talking to someone on FSD about this…how TN hasn’t dont anything really innovative in the last decade, but as it stands, if Cliffhangers, Powerblows and VF5 style stideteps make the game widely and openly competitive then it’s a innovation in it’s self…
I’ll give this a 7/10, becuse you listed all the things that happened in the trailer.
I think I’m going from a “wait and see approach” to “mmaaaaaaayyybe day 1 purchase.” We’ll see about the price of the game and the DLC. If the DLC is something like SFxT, then no, if it’s like VF5:FS, then yes.
If they bring back the tag feature in this game…I think I just found a reason not to eventually purchase TTT2U.
SC5, VF5 and DOA5 are all I need this year. I’m a huge fan of the DOA series (I even wrote an official strat guide for the game) so I have high expectations for this game.
Bayman’s outfit is more of a hi-res outfit from DOA++. He didn’t have his beret on the default first two outfits in that. He had his military cut.
Diggin’ the scar.
My question is, why are the forces in the stage Russian? The tanks a T-80 and the doomed chopper is a Mi-28.
