Meh, having to buy NG3 (to which I haven’t played any NG games 'cept for a bit of Black) means I’ll probably have to miss out.

i might start taking the DOA series seriously now that it’s not the “Itagaki-san show” anymore. character balance needs to be top notch just like SF4AE or else it’s just the ninjas dominating online/offline play. seriously though, i hope they integrate some of the DOA 2 and 3 mechanics cuz the DOA 4 system was pretty rubbish and i just mess around with playing the series unlike the SF, Tekken and MvC games.

To be honest. My favorite feature of the DOA series is its Tag mode. The crazy, high damage lunacy possible was something I hella enjoyed since DOA3 (US version, my first Exp. with the series). This DOA is sounding quite hype. Hope the Tag Mode(with that pair play) sticks around and is just as insane.

I don’t see it going beyond Jacky and Sarah. Kage seems like a decent choice too, given how many ninjas are in the series.
MAYBE Pai but that’s the absolute limit.
other VF characters that MIGHT work well in the DOA universe aside from Kage Maru, Sarah and Jacky Bryant :
- Shun Di [obvious match-up for Gen Fu]
- Lion Rafale
- Vanessa Lewis
way too many grapplers already with Lisa, Bayman, Tina, Leon and Bass in the roster. this may be testing grounds for an imminent crossover like SFxT but if the gameplay takes the best elements of both the VF and DOA series systems, they just might have a winner. i say it’s a “go”.

When i think on someone to match with Gen, Lau cames to my mind, which is reasonably popular.
I think Jean Kujo has chances on entering it too
Jean Kujo would be a great addition I could call for personally.
But realistically he doesn’t seem like the first character that springs to mind.
Zero chance of this happening now but the perfect guest character for a DOA game would be Mai Shiranui.
