Dead or Alive 5: Petition on SRK for DoA5 Subforum

I love SRK. I’ve been on this site for 12 year and I’m on it everyday at work, but the second I got at all serious about learning P4A I went straight to Dustloop for information.

Take any existing character subforum on SRK and compare the info from the same character’s subforum on the site devoted to that game and you can see the difference.

Yeah but just cause you go to other sites it doesn’t mean everybody else should go by it too.

As you can already see here the idea of DoA5 getting its own sub forum on SRK is a great idea and also a great way to move its community. What if people don’t want to go to other sites? I’m a regular member here so I wouldn’t wanna go to other websites, and other people prefer not to as well.

And numerous members have already posted their support and imputed their positive reception to the idea, so it’s only obvious that its a great idea.

So we preach to qualify this game by as much recognition as possible to help the game get noticed in the SRK community and not the alone wolf DoA-only devoted websites.

What if we just simply want SRK to be more exposed to this game?

So although I do understand what you mean, I just strongly believe that your own preference for other devoted websites does not justify why we shouldn’t have our own dedicated community here.

Why do people insist on having sub forums for every new game that comes out?

There are already established community sites for each franchise - go visit them for fucks sake.

Adding all of these different sub-forums is nothing more than making pissweak versions of dustloop, Tekken Zaibatsu, DreamCancel, etc.

That’s not true. We never wanted sub forums for every new fighter that comes out. That’s not true. We just want DoA5, that’s all.

What if I want to win EVO but I don’t feel like practicing or leaving my house? You’re asking for the creation of an inferior product in order to accommodate laziness.

So after some deliberation I finally got around to making this; sorry : (. I’ve been thinking that the best way to get more people into a game and community is to provide them a place to start. Right now SRK doesn’t really have a place to start if someone wants to get into a game or say hi to everyone. Usually people that are new make “hi i’m new threads” on GD 'cause that isn’t related to games so it must be the right place to make an introductory thread. Yeah. So the purpose of the newb forum…

I at least want to be at a level where it seems like I know what I’m doing like I did with SCV. Plus I’m having more of a blast with this game than TTT2 to be honest so yeah, it goes without saying that you can consider this a signature too. I want to learn how to play Hayate and Leifang and also this game in general.

it could be good to have a subforum on here for people that dont want to go to another forum or want to talk strategy with the
at the same time fsd is growing a little

also while i play tekken tag 2 ( love it and doa alot right now )
i find it slightly amusing/unfair that they have their own sub forum and doa doesnt. especially since there is tekken zabaistu which is much larger and more organized and active then fsd based of their previous games.
