Sinestro>All green lanterns except John(cause he’s black, and he doesn’t play)
John Stewart in this movie doesn’t bother me, they have to give the people who watched the DCAU JL/JLU cartoons and don’t read comics something.
Yeah instead of Omac they should do a Legion of Doom type of story but I imagine gathering Kevin Spacey(Lex Luthor), Liam Neeson(Ra’s al Ghul), Kevin Spacey(Lex Luthor), Cillian Murphy(Scarecrow), Kevin Spacey(Lex Luthor), Heath Ledger(Joker), Kevin Spacey(Lex Luthor), Aaron Eckhart(Two Face)… and um… Kevin Spacey(Lex Luthor) is gonna cost a hell of a lot of money and just become a scheduling nightmare.
Superman needs another movie villain badly…
IMO they could’ve done so much better with superman returns in terms with story and with villains. Instead of another Lex Luthour story they should show umm bizarro, or doomsday. but for some reason they never want to show that superman actually fight monsters and other aliens. Im tired of seeing him fight humans.
I enjoyed Superman Returns, made me feel like a kid again watching the old Superman movies. But I agree with you. Part 2 said to be featuring Zodd is not good man that already happened. Too much homage to the old movies. I suppose after Zodd they will have no choice but to bring out another villain though (I hope…) and of course you never know if there will be a suprise villain in part 2, Supes punches Zodd in the stomach and he vomits Braniac hey who knows. :looney:
Lol:rofl:
Braniac would be a great villain yo!
Hal fucking Sucks.
and to compare Kyle to Guy is blasphemy.
Guy is fucking awesome, read GLC!
Kyle is no Pretender.
and DC is all about legacies. I may not like the way they went with some legacies, but once they put a new guy in place, he should’ve fucking stayed there.
Doomsday? Please.
How many times can you watch or read about Superman punching the crap out of a monster or robot?
Superman Returns was a great Superman story. If you thought it was boring, go read a John Byrne comic. I heard he punches a lot of shit in those.
What they should do is build up the guys who are going to take over. It’s lame when some random nobody appears out of nowhere as a deus ex machina to take up the mantle for the new generation and wears a crab-faced mask and a costume that doesn’t even resemble the costume of the original guy.
Superman Retuns was great, only beef was Spacey, he was kinda…scary. Like he was about to jump out of the movie screen and rape me scary lol. I heard rumors before Superman Returns came out that they had the movies out like trilogy in the shape of Batman Begins. Supposedly Parasite, Brainiac and Bizarro were to be in the sequels, but this is an old rumor folks.
…Also Kyle was the best GL fools.
Hal Jordan is Green Lantern. Liking Kyle and hating Hal is like bagging on Connery and claiming Moore as the best Bond. Hal Jordan is the Green Lantern, as much as Bruce Wayne is Batman and Clark Kent is Superman.
I have heard rumors that Brainiac will be the villain in the next Superman film, and if so, that would be great. He would be my number one pick. That said, Superman (the real Superman, not the post-Crisis mistake) was never chiefly concerned with brawling, so they’d better have a strong story to back it up.
hal jordan is a cardboard bitch that takes 103% of Geoff Johns’ willpower to bury into even a remotely interesting story. This is a guy who we watched make a giant boxing glove for 300 issues. Face it, he was always a tard.
If your only criteria for a good Green Lantern is how many different excessively useless shapes he can make with his ring energy, then I can see why you would like Kyle Rayner better.
it doesn’t matter anymore. Fans don’t want things to change anymore.
they built Bart up. Everybody knew he was gonna BE the Flash.
then when he was, everybody hated him, and wanted Wally back.
and using Kyle as your example, you’re picking the WRONG character.
Remember Hal Jordan?, that guy who calls himself Green Lantern?, yeah, he’s not the FIRST Green Lantern.
Alan Scott was.
Hal’s Costume?, doesn’t look a damn thing like Alan’s.
Wrong, Wrong, WRONG.
Sorry, GM, I respect ya, bro, but I gotta disagree with ya here.
Hal Jordan is no more Green Lantern than Barry is Flash. Legacies are meant to be changed from time to time. Since both GL and Flash have been established as legacies, they should NOT sit stagnant. I want to see Hal replaced and soon.
If you’re not the FIRST to carry a name, you shouldn’t be the last.
This isn’t anything like Bond, since the people in the Bond role are real people.
Hal is my Dad’s Green Lantern, NOT mine.
Yes, but even if Hal’s time must come to an end (and I don’t see why it should; maybe give him one GL title and continue the classic stories, and have another book for the kids who like the latest and greatest), then why the disrespect? Why shit all over Hal in the books, then shit all over him in the fandom? Why give all the respect to Kyle Rayner, solely by virtue that he’s newer?
The only thing Alan Scott and the GL Corps. have in common is a name. Alan Scott might have been the first guy to call himself Green Lantern, but he has nothing to do with what we think of the Green Lantern as today.
Okay, so Hal’s suit wasn’t red and purple. But at least they had the domino mask in common. That’s what counts. Son, don’t get all snarky just because DC offed your favorite character.
Anyway, I suspect the main reason people didn’t like Bart as Flash is because his comic sucked ass. Basically, it doesn’t matter what they do to build up a character or whether they give his predecessor a respectful sendoff or not. What matters is if the stories are good.
I don’t have a problem with Hal Jordan turning evil and into Parallax and shit. I did have a problem with the shit storyline they forced Ron Marz to write to revamp the title. You look at GL: Rebirth and if that was the story DC had decided to tell from the beginning, it probably would have worked, because that was actually interesting and well-written.
I don’t much have a preference between GLs because I think as the decade went on, certain writers did give Kyle some good stories. (And he finally lost that stupid crab face mask and the weird green forearm gauntlets, and the green knee-high shin-protecting boots.) I’m saying that the storyline that introduced him and pushed aside Hal was bad.
Pleases man have you ever seen it on the big screen though???
Yeah, I loved the JSA kids cracking on Kyle’s costume a few years back.
As for Kyle, I did find some of the “very special” Winnick books uninteresting and annoying as hell, but I happen to like the character better. I’ll admit I read Kyle’s stuff first, then GUy’s, then Hal’s. That might have influenced things. However I liked Alan off the bat, and grew to like John, so I think it’s just that I dislike Hal (though even he’s growing on me in SC)
Uh?? I would answer your question if I knew what you were asking…
have you ever seen superman fight doomsday in a live action movies???
No, and hopefully we never do. The Death Of Superman was wall-to-wall crap.
It would be crazy to see superman fighting a monster or some shit or like a gang a villains team up against him in theaters it would be way better than how they did it in spiderman 3, i dont even consider spiderman 3 a movie anymore
