I don’t know, I have lost faith in Morrison after the failed WildStorm relaunch and the weak Batman stories. WildStorm, I already guessed he and Lee were taking on too much in their schedules, but even with Kubert being late on art, there is no excuse for the weak stories that have been in Batman, especially when compared to Dini’s Detective.
How can you lose faith in a guy who’s written hundreds of essential comics just because Jim Lee only managed one issue of Wildcats in almost a year? I don’t even think Batman is bad compared to Dini’s Detective. It might not be as great, but it’s still the best Batman has been in a heckuva long time.
I am a Warriors fan. And just as WE BELIEVE in the Warriors, I BELIEVE in Grant Morrison. (I’ll chalk up all of the failings of 52 to those other chumps involved.) See, if you ever start questioning your faith in Morrison, just think of Animal Man, Doom Patrol, Kill Your Boyfriend, Sebastian O, Invisibles, New X-Men, The Filth, JLA, Seven Soldiers, Marvel Boy, WE3, Seaguy, Vimanarama, and everything else he’s written. And I will continue to keep Rick Barry in my heart.
And it seems like DC’s just putting All-Star Batgirl on hold so Jones can do F Crisis. I don’t know what I’d want more… Morrison and Jones on a damn Crisis comic or Johns and Jones on an All-Star comic. Too bad it isn’t Morrison and Jones on an All-Star series.
If you have to ask that question, then you should kill yourself now.
This month’s GL Corps was damn good. Sinestro taunting Natu was just too good. He REALLY got into her head. Now onto next month’s Green Lantern which is gonna be completely bananas.
Batman was OK, I guess. Grant just has to stop writing filler crap and start writing some good life-altering stuff. He’s capable of writing good Batman.
And hotdamn did JSA Classified have some shitty artwork. It was an alright story, but the art was crap. Fanart is better than that shit.
So far, Sinestro Corps is the event of the summer no one is really reading. Oh, and All-Star Batman was pretty good. It actually did something to progress the story. It’s good to know that this takes place in the Dark Knight Returns universe. Now we get to see the events that took place before Bat’s retirement.
And Countdown is just there to be there. It’s an OK book on it’s own, but when you know it ties into something so much bigger, it just doesn’t feel good reading it because the key events are only about 5 panels long while the rest is filler.
And what the fuck is it with those Ballpark franks ads? They take up half the fucking book and they’re really annoying.
What do you mean no one is reading Sinestro Corps? I’ve had a hard as hell time getting issues of it. It’s about the only thing I’m really really liking at the moment- though I’m tempted to try Blue Beetle- if the 2nd GL crossover they do is good, I’ll give it a shot.
The hype isn’t there. DC is directing it in the wrong direction(i.e. Final Crisis). It’s sort of like John’s run on The Flash. People really didn’t catch on until WAAAAYYY later.
DC has an assbackwards way of promoting their stuff.

Well, I’m speaking from the crowd in my area. It usually feels like it’s me and two other people at the shop picking up the book. But yeah, good to know you poozers are reading it.
Definitely the best thing happening for DC right now.
DC Books I read last week:
All Star Batman and Robin - I dunno I’m not feeling this book anymore, or I haven’t from the start and was just getting it for Jim Lee’s pencils, but All Stat Superman is just way too good in comparison. ASBAR’s Artwork’s not matching up with the story. Miller thinks “Goddamn Batman” is a catch phrase, thanks internet lol! For a story about Batman and Robin Robin is hardly in it, he wasn’t even in this issue. I think I’ll be dropping this book. Let me now when Robin defeats 100 ninjas in this book and I’ll be back but I seriously doubt that’s gonna happen…

Gon - Still haven’t read it but I just had to pick this up again. It’s being re-released unflopped! Yeah, flopping made no difference before since this manga had no dialog and no one picked up anything with their left hands instead of right I don’t think since it only features animals but WHATEVEEEER three chears for printing manga the right way! Now if only someone would get started on unflopped Ranma 1/2… Anyway, Gon was in Tekken 3, Tekken characters hung out with Capcom ones in Namco x Capcom so Gon is cool by association. 
Ninja Scroll - MUCH MUCH MUCH better artist. Story was great, lots of pages with just action and no dialog, I love that. Just one complaint…

Teen Titans Go! - Oh snap they had the origins of the cartoon Beast Boy and Cyborg in this book. Beast Boy had blonde hair before his change lol! It was funny because while Beast Boy was telling the story of how he got his powers he lied at first and said he joined the Justice League instead of the Doom Patrol. When he said that they showed an image of Beast Boy with the Justice League as they appear in the DCAU, John was Green Lantern and they tossed in a DCAU version of Mary Marvel. TOO GOOD!

For Morrison’s story you have to consider that Batman died. Gotham City in many ways would still need a Batman. While Dick being hesitant while Batman is alive, it’s possible his death might get others to pressure him to take the role, including heroes he admires like Superman and so forth.
If you are against Dick Grayson being Batman for whatever reason, hey it does seems like he dies wearing the costume too so there’s that. Unless he’s off in space somewhere boning Starfire but that’s doubtful. He doesn’t end up with Barbara Gordon BTW in that story. Tim as far as we know might grow up and lead a normal life with kids and a family, much like he did in Batman Beyond - who knows settled down with Wonder Girl loleroonie! Many unanaswered questions…
As things are right now in the DCU, it’s kind of a moot point. Both Dick Grayson and Tim Drake have stressed that they do not want to become Batman ever.
I don’t think anyone, even Morrison is saying this future is written in stone. At best it’s another possible future out of 100s. Unless DC goes nuts with Final Crisis and kills Bruce Wayne but that’s a billion shades of doubtful…

Nightwing - Didn’t care much for Nightwing this time. I’m not found of Wolfman retconning Dixon’s Nightwing Year One much. The cover said Nightwing vs. Vigilante and they didn’t fight in the issue! Speaking of the cover it was a big rip off of an Outsiders issue where Nightwing had an escrima stick to the Red Hood’s neck and Red Hood had a gun to Nightwing’s, same image only swap out Red Hood with Vigilante… well if this issue was just a build up I hope Nightwing and Vigilante face off next ish…

Not anything Nightwing’s in. I missed the vast majority of Devin Grayson’s run. I popped in now and again to keep up with what he was doing and to be pleasantly disappointed… :arazz:
Outsiders wasn’t great but it had it’s moments here and there.
