Morrison’s new Vertigo book Joe the Barbarian is coming out this wednsday
can’t wait

I did not know of this, thank you fellow Midgardian.

Is there anyone that feels a bit empty about Cat Woman’s BN issue as well as Shazam’s? I had such high hopes for how things could have played out. Everything got wrapped up and resolved so…neatly.

I rather liked the Catwoman issue, while the Shazam issue, I’ve seen some positive feedback about it.
…but overall the special BN issues were OK.

AYE brother

Batman and Robin #7 comes out next week! :clapdos:

WTH is this First Wave? (there was a preview in TBATB)
It’s like DC version of the Marvels Project or something?

YES!!! Also in the coming issues,I feel sorry for Dick Grayson when Talia sicks some of his old Nightwing enemies on him for letting Damien get hurt

First Wave is like a mini-event i think that is very noir/pulp world, so and features a lot of noir charcaters like the Spirit, Doc Savage, classic Batman(pre-GOD MODE). It looks very good.

OK seriously people, WHY did they write Supes as a dick during the 50s-60s?

Regarding that cover -

A. The Theory of Evolution was a big deal back then and any time DC put a gorilla on a cover sales went up. That’s how DC wound up with so many talking gorilla characters.

B. Every cover back then used shock value to get people to buy the comic. Like, wouldn’t you want to buy that if you were 12 years old and saw that on the racks? By the same token, without reading what is actually in the comic almost all of those covers are taken out of context. Judging a book by it’s cover was a bad practice then and it still is.

So wait Supes was only a dick on the covers? sweet.
…and yeah I hole heartly agree with ‘b’, I would’ve def. bought a comic with a cover like that!

I am so ready for the Earth One Superman & Batman.Anybody else?

Grant Morrison talks more Batman. He unveils the 6 versions of Batman that will be in the Retutn Of Bruce Wayne arc:

Wow Morrison even cleared up Bruce’s corpse in Blackest Night on page 2 of that interview! Thanks for the link.

holy shit. The latest issue of B&R is just astounding.

Damien’s getting a new spine, and we see the return of two of my favorites: Beefeater, and the Whirly-Bat!

^When did those 2 originally appear in the ye olde Bat books? (Also WTF is a beefeater, I read that as Wife Beef beater @_@)
Just read Batman and Robin 7 and did they incorrectly position some of the text bubbles during Grayson and Batwoman’s talk?
Anyways somebody explain something to me-
Was Grayson looking for King Coal to stop him from using the Lazarus Pit that HE knew about so that he can resurrect Bruce Wayne without interference?

No problem.I’m glad Morrison cleared that up also about Bruce’s corpse

Yeah they did. At least the word balloons were pointing the right way, like one may have been on the other side of the panel and next to Batwoman but the tail of the balloon was pointing to DG 's mouth and vice versa. That made me forget about it after reading. Still looks like a mistake though. Hopefully they’ll fix it in a TPB.

B&R was awesome and had a great cliffhanger! :wow:

I liked JLA this month too, something I NEVER get to say. There was a flashback of the United States in the 1700s and people were actually talking the way they used to talk back then! Then there was a warehouse in Washington DC full of ancient artifacts just like Indiana Jones LOL! And the new team is forming! DG Batman in the house! :clapdos:

JLA

Spoiler

When Batman was asked to join the JLA Damian butted in and said “Okay I’m in!” Damian rules! Another thing I never thought I’d say.
