I would love to go, but after seeing Sabre’s BEASTLY Sakura, I don’t think I could make her look anywhere near that good, and I’ve been playing Sakura since I started SFIV.

EVO was fun, stories later. 3s isn’t dead, at least to SoCal those guys were awesome to play. I went 4-2 in 4, unfortunately I don’t know what I’m doing vs. Sim when it counts.
SF4 finals were awesome, fairly hype, not as good as some years though. Also for those of you planning on going next year, it’s probably going to cost anywhere from $300-$800 dollars. Hotel food is $8 at the cheapest and way too fucking expensive at the high end places. Hopefully you aren’t addicted to gambling or you’ll be ultra screwed. Room fees weren’t too bad surprisingly, but they get you on everything else. Smokes are $9, and liquor isn’t cheap either. Regardless I recommend you go, but don’t expect to make it out of pools. Also 3s won’t be around next year, although I’m sure side tourneys will exist.
But Sabre has been playing Sakura since Alpha, and he’s an OG, that automatically makes him good.
