Edit: also, Transformers was horrible. I knew it would be, but I knew I’d have to see it eventually, because I knew someone would come along and recommend it to me some time. Or maybe I was hoping to be proven wrong. I don’t know. Point is don’t see it. Also, I was really excited to see what trailers they would have, and then they started the movie late and said “since we’re starting it late, we’ll just go straight to the movie.” WTF? Why do I have to sit through a half hour of Bradford Howell and Coke commercials, and then I can’t actually see some trailers? Lame. If you want to see “Transformers,” watch the animated movie. If you want to watch “Shia LeBouf and Megan Fox Get Together while Explosions Happen and also there’s some Robots for a Few Minutes Part II,” go see this movie.

For some reason I was hoping that they put a majority of the human crap on the back burner and just let the robots fight…but apparently the masses need humans in their Transformers…

Hope I’m not spoiling things, but having just gotten out of that flick all of an hour ago, I felt Bay tried hard but failed to emulate TF the animated movie, it’s pacing and event arcs were near the same, but yeah way too much of a human element in my giant robot movie. It’d be like having a TMNT movie where you show nothing but April O’Neil. And as for crazy movie night, I suggest The Machine Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, Oneechanbara, or Dead Or Alive(not the fighting one, but the crazy japanese one).
I have and love Machine Girl and TGP and I’m eagerly awaiting their next blood spurting masterpiece “Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl”. That one will DEFINITELY be shown. Onechanbara is just so boring but bikini chicks with swords is enough to keep you interested for 90 minutes.
Anyone seen Wild Zero, Tokyo Zombie or Survive Style 5+? Three absolute musts for the Crazy Asian genre movie fan. SS5+ is one of my favorite films period.
In Transformers 2 defense I will say the fights that were there were much better than the first. You could actually tell who was pummeling who this time.

Well it’s Marvel’s own movie studio doing Captain America. If you thought Iron Man and Hulk were decent interpretations(which I did), I think you’ll enjoy a Captain America movie.
Besides that…the fight between Hulk and the super solider in that movie who becomes Abomination, was basically an action preview of what to expect in a Captain America movie.
Of course, it helps that Marvel Studios is basing these movies on the Ultimates interpretation of the characters…so they’re already updated, and they don’t have to go back to the 1940/50/60’s roots to make them work. If you don’t like the Ultimate line, or Ultimate Cap I doubt you’d end up liking the new Captain America movie.
The only thing I know about that is ultimate spiderman, which is meh. The art was bad IMO, but that’s irrelevant.

I got the Riki- oh movie on me external hd. That movie was horrible yet entertaining. The man can play a leaf! Don’t forget about Ninja Champion [media=youtube]mRJKwAGAOnU[/media] (pay attention to the ninjas hands after he gets killed with the help of his own ring) Also the Toxic Avenger was entertaining as well.
