Characters total health point and its ratio varies. Health point ratio is important because it has effect on Heat Gauge that regenerates when the character is below 20% health bar. For example, Ragna’s health total is 10000. When he has 20% health left, he has 3000 point instead of 2000. Therefore characters have a greater health point ratio in the latter portion have a better chance to make a comeback. However, the game is decided on percentage of the remaining health bar instead of the total health point when time is up. That is the drawback of having a dense stamina towards the latter portion.

See, Bang’s actually got a lot of HP tucked under that last 25% of the bar.

What a strange way to scale.

It’s Arc. They have to do everything different. Guilty gear has guts, where the defense of a character goes up as they lose health, but it’s not quite the same thing.

Jordyn, cancel throw into 214B, do 214d followup as LATE AS POSSIBLE and you can just barely land C > (sjc) BC > (double jump) CD, shoryu. If super jump is too hard, you can just do shoryu from standing C for still decent damage. I haven’t been able to land jB after standing C on back throw, so I’ve just been doing C canceled into shoryu for that too. You can also connect 214A+followup from standing C if you want. You have to delay the followup a little though.

Also, carnage scissor, dash, C > D > carnage scissor is a combo.

Quentin, I couldn’t beat that Noel you beat in the first round yesterday. Just played him. He’s really solid once he gets in on you.

tournaments and ranbats mostly, since they’re all ps3. i haven’t gotten my parts in for my dual mod yet and i’m not gonna have a stick this saturday for ranbats/bb.

if anyone is willing to let me use their stick that’d be mighty kind of them.

On back throw, I sjc, C D, jc, D, 623D, followup. Doesn’t seem to work 100%, but that’s probably just my timing. Does good damage.
