The plan is pray to god people play this game so I don’t continue to curb stomp people in it. I had a lot of fun yesterday. Only game I didn’t rep hard was SF4 and that was due to my own lack of care and impatience.

I will get home tuesday around 11pm. Everyone is welcome to come and play, but I would consider it the WSU after party or something. I plan to play BB for the following 24 hours with comp or not, no big deal either way.
I’ve had the game reserved for a long time but gamestop may pull a gamestop and not have it.
Another thing to keep in mind is that I have one setup and one stick. Bring stuff if you want to play other games or increase your BB intake.
I should be able to make it out at some point. Hopefully.
Thanks Matt. I played a lot better and knocked someone pretty good into the loser’s bracket, but I played a friend of mine from Columbus and Abel vs. Sagat makes me real sad. I wasn’t playing patient enough, if I had one more set vs. him I would have turned it around I think. Next time will be different for sure. I’m motivated to play all the time now.
Adam did really well but he played against Antwan, and that was pretty unfortunate.
I’m going to hang out with a friend when BB’s released so i’m busy that night, but i’ll be trying to make it up for most future gatherings as long as I can plan it out.

Japanese players =/= American players. Japanese Hondas can beat Japanese Ryus at a top level, too…but you don’t seen it often here.

Seriously, so what? Why bother playing and getting better if you don’t think you’ll ever compare to Japanese players?
If you’re saying it’s different STYLES of play, then sure maybe. But whenever an American fighting gamer says that, they’re basically saying Japan>America which is true…right now. But instead of taking things FROM it, and applying it to OUR style of play…they decide “well they’re Japanese and clearly have better execution!”
Not only is that a little prejudice…it’s just a cop out. Execution is the one thing everyone can work on, on their own, without needing match-up experience. The main reason Japanese players have been better then us over the years is population density. With everything going online now…that isn’t nearly as big of a crutch as it was just two years ago.
I don’t care if it’s prejudiced OR a cop out, because either way, it’s TRUE.
