The PowerUp Podcast project has concluded. Twenty episodes isn’t too bad. Now I’m looking forward to helping to run, and eventually running, tournaments. After going to SBIV, I really think that good tournaments, and possibly multi-state organization of tournaments, will be what helps the Midwest most.

I had the right mindset, but my hands were what showed the nerves. I knew what I wanted to do, but couldn’t do it! So I’ve got about half the puzzle complete.
Also, Frank West will destroy all in TvC: UAS. Zombie tricks are going to be amazing. Joe the Condor will probably also be beastly. He grabs you and then shoots your ass point blank, it gets no better for me than that.
I’d be down for it as long as I have the transportation (Trust me, I’m still working on it). Arcade Legends is hosting a tournament on November 7th featuring Tekken 6 and SCIV, so the first casual session would come just in time for that. I’ll bring my camera as well to snag some footage.

Hey guys! Iam here to inform everyone that I will be hosting a T6BR release party on the 27th. Food and drinks will be available. If you want to bring something; feel free to do so. Also BYOB(Bring Your Own Booze).
There will be 3 TV setups initailly. One 19" Toshiba 720p; and 2 SD TVs. There will be 2 PS3 to start(mine and Mike’s). Anyone wanting to bring an additional TV and system; the more the better.
Things will be starting at 12 noon. Yes this will be an all day bonanza. Things should be ending around 1 am. All I ask is that you all respect my place and others. Shit talking is ok; but don’t let it go to far. There are others living with me. Be respectful to them.

One match away from top 8 in HDR. For only playing HDR competitively for 11 months, I think that’s a good 2nd showing at a major. Anyways, good shit at SB4, Dayton. It was good to see you all in good moods for once, not at each others’ throats (ha, I’m more guilty of this than anyone, but yeah). Here’s to hoping we all learned something.
Yes. I’m planning on making Game Night at the arcade on thursday a regular thing.
Hopefully we can all level up before our next major. I know that since i’ve been home from SB4 i’ve been in the lab and learned some new stuff already. Motivation is key.
Alright. Yeah I know what you mean. Lee and I have been battling it out. I’m trying to learn to be patient and get my execution to a higher level. I’m probably going to have to say farewell to BlazBlue until the new version comes out. Sorry Haku-men.
By the way…
would anyone know how to fix a convertible top? I’ve tried sewing it together with strong thread and needle, but the canvas is dry-rotted and when I try to pull the thread tight to bring the canvas together the thread rips right through the canvas.
I don’t know anything about cars…so any help would be nice.
I was thinking about getting a patch of vinyl and fixing it from the inside.

Thanks Phil. I probably wouldn’t mind if I can get it done for cheap. I was thinking about going to the junk yard and seeing if I can find a top that’s decent. Not really sure how I would get the old one off and the new one on.
I talked to my grandfather and he told me to just duct tape it, but the top is so dirty the tape won’t stick. My car is old like that.
I’m trying not to be mad about it, but it’s hard. >_<; I just don’t know what I’m going to do if I don’t get it fixed by the next time it rains or by the first snow.
If I get the entire top replaced it’s going to cost 1k-3k. That’s cash I don’t have.
Would a patch of Vinyl and some crazy glue work? I just need a quick fix to hold her together until I can think of a better solution.
I’m not sure how many times I’ll be able to catch Thursday nights at AL (Our regular ride is in school until late), but I’m sure I’ll catch a ride every now and again. If anyone wants to play some XBL HDR/SF4 I’m down, but it’s not quite the same as playing with someone sitting right next to you.
I’m gonna try to practice with Ken in SF4, I hope to play with him by the 7th tourney. Part of me wants to stick with Vega because I’m not as good as Makoto, but it’s possible I’ll never be as good as Makoto, so a character that isn’t terrible may help me there. I have no idea why it’s so tempting for me to play as the worst character in the game.
