I think of it as another source of acceptable footage. This may not be too bad to tap into because I’m receiving word that Blazblue does fairly well online. I think the replays somewhat prove it. It seems like MvC2 is also doing a fair job, even if AHVB is being blocked on reaction. lol. I just haven’t seen Maggy infinites being dropped. I’d like to think that’s all I needed to know because the gameplay hasn’t suffered dramatically, even though that can be argued otherwise :).
I’m aware of the fair share of laggy matches that potentially determine ambiguous outcomes. SC4 is a complete nightmare (no pun intended) online, so trust me when I say that I will avoid the laggy outcomes and find another way 
I’m attempting to break the out of the casual mold and look for variety. So much of the first mixtape involves casuals against ourselves and while there is nothing wrong with that…that can be only be looked at so many times throughout. That’s why the idea of online matches tapped into my mind because well…you face a lot of people online. Not to mention, it is incredibly hard to find you guys in a match, record you, and hope that footage is good enough to use (no offense intended). I’d rather have as much control as possible and fill you guys in. Perhaps I could “label” the online matches to avoid confusing viewers? Tweaks like these can fixed in a matter of seconds…
Using online is just another source, and I think some matches from online play are definitely acceptable as long as they match (as best as possible) the connection quality of a local match.
More tournament footage is really where it’s at, though, because that’s where everyone is going to try their best. Just a matter of travel and getting people to agree to be recorded for mixtape purposes. Naptown and SB4 will be great opportunities for match footage. AL has proven that it can produce some good footage too. Widening the range of potential sources of footage isn’t bad at all, but some quality control has to be in place when talking about casuals/online play.
Of course, I’m probably just reiterating things you already know, Kam. I just felt like adding my voice to this conversation, lol.
lol that’s fine. I appreciate the input because I want to take into account as many problems as possible, so that I can work them out. I want this to be pretty entertaining and that I might have people willing to contribute because it will be worth it! I hope I don’t seem like I’m arguing with anyone. I just want to plead my intent in hopes that everyone understands what I’m trying to accomplish. Tournament footage is very important to have and so far we have a fair share of amount. With new games being to tournament rosters this year, it’s a little difficult to find players who are in their strong suit at tournaments seeing as it is probably their first tournament for newer games. Of course, debating about tournament is another story on its own :). While I still want to capture different sources of media, I am expecting tournament to change within the coming months for you guys. Thanks to Arcade Legends, competition is definitely growing fierce. Naptown and SB4 are definitely some big tournaments left to record, you think Dayton can bring something home!? 
If anyone is interested in contributing footage to the “Freestyle!” section of the mixtape, PM me and I’ll explain the 1’s and 2’s of recording the footage to me. I think everyone can has the ability to do some cool shit, so don’t tell yourself you don’t think you’ve got anything! I can give suggestions or post examples if I have to. lol

I just recorded an interview with J-Money (Kelvin) from Chicago, and we called each other out for a Tetris Attack $20 mm. First to 5, best 2/3. Hopefully he’ll be able to get a ride and make it out for Naptown on Aug. 29th. If that’s so, then that’s just one more reason to come for anyone on the fence!

Eh, I just don’t care about BB enough to practice it. I like the game, but only for 2 hours at a time, just like Guilty Gear oddly enough. Currently its Rents-Outta-Town time so hopefully a good amount of people can come out. I’ll check with everyone tomorrow.
Edit: Alright, tomorrow at 8 does that work? Friday night might also work. Make sure to tell me if you’re coming so I can get an idea of how many random sodas and chips to buy. Osirun, my brother fancies himself a Tetris Attack player. You guys should play it sometime. Do you have puzzle league for DS? It’s basically the same game, but it’s got some pretty cool modes and stuff.
Jason, might try to get some AC action at Illuminaudi tomorrow evening. This will probably be before Adam’s thing since they’ll probably close at 8 or 9. You don’t have to come, but I would just feel bad if I didn’t tell you. I’m thinking of being there probably around 6, as I gotta pick my bro up from work at about 5.

Good news adam. My friends Bobby and Todd have switched from Mahvel to Third. We played all last night. They’re pretty bad, but will catch on quick.
I might be able to come around 11pm tommorow but if that’s not cool just say so. I’ll be a punching bag in 3s, but someone should play BB with me.
