I love the texture in the bg of the poster. The only problem I see is that the text at the bottom looks odd. If it were centered and stacked rather than left-justified it may look better.

I’ve never been a good critic of music, and as such I like just about all the stuff you’ve picked out. I think you’ve got a good mixture of rap and rock, which is cool to me.
I’ve complete confidence in your editing abilities to put the footage together in an amazing complimentary way with the music. Keep it up, and I’m sure we all can’t wait to see some early cuts of footage.
Almost started a long post abotu why the first song wouldn’t be great for an “opening”
Then I realized it was just a “trailer” and in that context it fits much better…as the song that I"m assuming will be the opening is Long Story Short…since that’s the song you’ve sampled at the beginning of all the previous previews.
So nevermind…Good stuff, and yet another good update. I’ll toss a few of my songs for the SB3/final mixtape, since it might fit better in that one anyway.
I do like the poster but I agree, that maybe you can fit the name of the tournament on the poster. Be a nice touch.
Oh and I would like to put in a special request for a shirt. On the front has Hold F+1+2 and on the back “Sooo Random”, people who know me will get it instantly.

I know there was a few people that asked me about using my debit/paypal to pay for SB4. If that is still the case for some people, get the money to me THIS WEEK. I’m paying for SB4 this weekend before the registration closes, so I’d like to take care of everyone’s payments in one shot.
Is there anyone going Friday? I would love to tag along for the ride and chip in a little gas money :). If not, Jason are you going Saturday?
::EDIT:: Also, if there is someone who volunteers to pick me up Friday, does that include for me to chip in and stay? I’m only filming this weekend and not competing and I would like to get the whole weekend captured if I can help it. I think I might essentially have a place to stay that’s free, but I still want to know now so I know how much I will have to pay out that weekend.

I was hoping my birthday money would be more then it is…but it’s not, so I might just end up signing up for GG and leaving it at that. I’d probably do better in BB, but eh, best of the best (in the US…) will be at SB4, or at least a decent amount of named dudes so…
Regardless, I doubt I’ll pull Friday night, and will probably just head up Saturday. Would like to go Sunday too…just to see finals (AND PARTICPATE!!!..:lol::looney::rolleyes:) but depending on how stuff goes, I doubt that happens. Def gonna be there for Justin/Daigo at the LEAST…but cash is low and I’m not sure I can pull enough together for anything other then Saturday.

Learn your Tiger uppercut -> FADC combos. Because you will have the meter to go into tier uppercut ->FADC-> F+RH-> Ultra. That way you maximize your damage off of a hit instead of tiger uppercut than nothing. But you are stepping it up , not to mention get your links together.
Nathan: I was actually highly , highly impressed with you sir. You my fine man have 'POWERED UP" as your podcasts indicates lol! You actually made me have to think a couple steps ahead in some of those matches. Not to mention I gotta stop getting hit by the cr.mk->MP TK walk up throw trick. BLEH , Every viper I know hits me with it… haha But I see you have finally been trying to get those links together you were REALLY trying to use them alot! It was working for the most part , after while you started running the same mixup and when I figured it out I kinda took over. But I noticed when you could tell I caught on you were trying to bait me ALOT… which is good considering abel cant really reversal that well in certain situations. Thumbs up soldier!

Adam: Dude it felt really fucking good to be playing 3rd again fun ass matches. Tho I didnt get to play Yang it was all good. I missed a bunch of parries due to the weird lag but all in all ggs sir.
^ Thanks for the comments and praise Quentin, I appreciate it. Right now Viper and I are getting to know each other. It’s not always fun, but every once in awhile we tell each other a secret and then there’s better understanding between us.
The only thing that worries her is that Makoto will be in SSFIV. I’ve had to tell Viper that she’s the only one for me; what else can I say? There’s enough of me for Viper and Makoto to share.
Anyway . . . I’ve been trying to get some of Viper’s basic mixups down. It’ll only get better as time goes by.

ALSO IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since he has expressed wanting to room with me at an early date, if anyone can get ahold of Kodi, please ask him if he is still down and see if he can get ahold of me. I don’t want to give up his spot in the hotel for Seasons then find out he still wanted it. Once I hear back from him and I get with Ryan (since the other half of the room is his), we’ll work out how many people we can take. We have one confirmed in Nick at the moment, possibly Kodi and maybe someone else. I figure we can fit 5 in the hotel room without too many people freaking out.
Also, I will be discussing the car logistics and have a post up soon if I can fit anymore people in my carpool.

Ok, this weekend (aiming for Friday) I’d really like to get some 3s practice again. Josiah said he wanted to go to SB4, I’ll try talking to him about it sometime soon. I’m talking Jason/Carter/Ross/Josiah/Lee/Matt(?) at the very least. Anyone who wants to play is fine, but if you’re getting chain perfected don’t bother, I’m invoking the 5-Star rule (I don’t want to play anyone who I feel is not on my level, higher, or a little lower, just so I don’t get out of practice/lose my meta-game). I’d like to play at WSU but if someone has a better gathering spot that’s fine.
I think I’ll take you up on that offer Zach. How much are you willing to chip out of $25?
Essentially I’ll be filming (hopefully the entire weekend), but I’ll be playing casuals or something to pass the time. I think I will have all the tapes, but I will buy a couple more before that weekend to make sure I have enough just in case one goes bad.
Which reminds me, other than Osirun, who else is planning to shoot a little footage that weekend? I’ll be bringing my laptop so I should be able to snag the footage from you on the spot. I think I also have Henry involved with shooting a little footage essentially because I won’t be able to leap all over the place to shoot. Also, if anyone is planning to shoot footage for their own personal usage (meaning not for the Mixtape, from my perspective), let me know and I will not include it as raw footage.
Also (can’t get enough of “Also’s”…) I’ll be signing out a photo camera that weekend, so I will also want to gather everyone in Dayton and take some photos. Depending on my assignment, I may benefit, but I definitely wanted photos of the event to include in the Mixtape.
