So again I played another first to ten set with antwan.
I think Ive figured out the problem to why alot of people cant beat antwan. His reaction speed is fucking crazy. Crazy reaction and good execution = A beast.
So out of 70 matches Ive beaten antwan like 29 times. Playing him makes me increase my reaction speed. Alot of us dayton players could improve just by playing him and dealing with his ability to react faster than alot of people can.
I was convinced before , but im 150% sure hes the best balrog in the country. I REALLY think he can beat daigo.
Lets say I was thinking 3 steps ahead , antwan was like 7 steps ahead of me.
But antwan did tell me one thing though about my play. He said and I quote

So he thinks my execution is good. to be honest in some situations Id prefer reaction speed to execution.
Having great reaction time is the ultimate tool. I agree. But it would make the game less fun because everything becomes a giant option select. Making an educated guess and having it pay off feels GOOD.

I fuckin HATE “Shake Spear” and all of that old ass jibberish. I remember reading all of that crap in high school and not understanding any of it. Apparently everything had a certain meaning. It would’ve been funny if all of these english teachers were horribly wrong in what they thought these dead ass people wrote. I can see scientists cloning Mr. Shake Spear and saying how smart he was. He would look all confused and be like “What art thou talking about. Thou art talketh like this! Tis wrong to misinterpret thou work!” The scientists would probably bury his ass again.

Woah Shakespeare derail. At great risk to my reputation I shall respond to this. I pretty much agree with Darius in that his works are presented totally wrong anyways. (But disagree in that I actually like Shakespeare) I hate it when people dig too deep to find allegories in shit where the point was just to entertain people. Dude was an entertainer and for his time a damn good one whose biggest contribution was adding a shitload of words to the English language. I never read any of his stuff from a book in school, just watched the movie or play (the correct medium anyways) and read the spark notes to refresh the memory before the test. A lot of the soul of it comes from the dialogue and timing.
I wonder if in five hundred years English teachers will be trying to explain Christ analogies in Michael Bay movies to their students.

Thoughts anyone?
For what it’s worth, I’ve worked on creating this soundtrack since about April. I’ve started with about 40 tracks I’ve chosen through my iPod and over the summer I’ve slowly diced down to these 9 tracks that will definitely be included in the Mixtape. The first Mixtape I believe had about 9 or 10 tracks, so I think I can comfortably fit within the same parameters as the first one. The tracks will essentially be mixed by to fit within a certain length so that some songs aren’t longer than others, and I’m not forced to waste more footage on longer songs. I’ve chosen these tracks based on a number of reasons though:

The different feel that each track brings. Some oldschool Hip-Hop, some mainstream, some underground, some fun, some hype, some solid lyrical content, etc. I tried to capture as many different elements as possible. I’m well aware that some people might not like some songs, but it is very difficult to adjust and find a song that everyone would like to be heard. I think everyone has their own musical vision of what the “essence” of Dayton (and SoEazy for that matter) is. I just chose what best suited my vision.

I like to edit to something really fun and unique. [media=youtube]piDJcqPr-EY"[/media]. I like interesting tempos, experimental sounds, and overall great song construction. For the Mixtape, I chose songs that are comfortable for me edit on, without really being too bored listening to the track. I looked moments where I could freestyle and have a little fun with synching the footage, while still being able to play a certain amount of footage by itself in certain parts of the song (if that makes sense…I’ll try to rephrase that later, lol)

As I touched upon before, I am aware that everyone will not like certain songs and that’s definitely okay with me if someone wishes to share that opinion with me. I wanted to choose a soundtrack that would appeal universally, since I want more people to watch it. I want to generate an ambiguous response, so that everyone walk away with many different feelings. I feel that everyone will enjoy something about this Mixtape, and I think that’s what matters in end.
…and I think that’s it (or at least that’s as brief as it gets, lol). If anyone still has suggestions, I’m still open to take them as background music might be needed for some of the documentary segments. However, I will advise that adding music to those segments will be a judgment call
Quentin: Great work! But does the tournament have a name? If it does, I don’t really see it on the poster. Perhaps you could incorporate that somehow?
…and maybe you could elaborate for me on what you mean when you say “When In Doubt…SRK.” Maybe I’m slow, but still…elaborate.
