My fave team in Tekken Crash is Thunder Chicken Returns… ridicolous name but hella good players. Triple H has a beastly King too. It’s hilarious. His card name is Triple H, he uses a wrestler and he has a sledge hammer. Such a WWE homage.
ActionAdam: wha?! AK? LOL going through the roster I see. I do like AK’s ground stomp tho and his spear (D+1+4,1+2) move is awesome too.
Ah Kenta is the man, strong style all the way. And Shiro and Iyo getting 2nd? Nice nice stuff, Shiro’s Abel is beastliness, but I’ve always had the feeling that his style wouldn’t do so well here as his opponent would likely learn what he’s about in the first match and work him over the second but I wouldn’t know I place near last in tourneys. And I tried my hand at King last night… I finally remembered the spin forward, I think it was like df3+4 or something like that and got the first grab off, forgot all the rest of them though and Skeez tore him apart with Jack. Good stuff last night, and Adam your AK is moving along quite nice, you’ve got your ticks down right as far as I saw. And a fine Raiden suck it fatality, I imagine what he said before hand was a really quick version of what Triple H used to say before they said “suck it”.
Good meeting you too man, I’m thinking of dropping down either tonight or Sunday is cool. As for getting BR on console, I might be tempted to actually get it for both. It’s gonna be the PS3 first because of the comfort zone but I’ve got SC4 for the 360, should get T6 as well.
How does that first one surprise anyone? Maybe if Justin had a good teammate he’d have a shot, but actually he’d still probably lose. Justin’s the undisputed best in America, but most of those JPs in SBO are at his skill level or better, and as I always say, even if USA’s team is of equal skill, Japan still has the odds in their favor just because of the amount of participants. Daigo and Nuki sounds beastly, but there’s lots of players in the tournament of great skill, so even Daigo can lose, and it’s single elim of course. Mago and partner? lol if you don’t even know the guy’s name, why are you surprised?
Adam, Tekken players own PS3s because 1.) DR came out on it and 2.) for a long time, they thought T6 was PS3 exclusive. Not saying it has to stay this way, but people that already own a PS3 are less likely to buy a 360 in general, especially if they’re mainly playing fighting games.
I’m just trying to find the small handful that will be playing on 360. If I could own both I would, but until PS3’s drop in price and get better online support I’ll stick to xbox.
YK got good at 3rd strike on 2df and ggpo. As long as the online play is at least that good, I can’t really complain about it. Just gotta make sure you play a few matches and adjust to timing when tournament time comes. Also gotta make sure you don’t get used to using tactics that only work under laggy conditions. Also we play at AL, so it’s not like we care about lag that much. Also, people say 360’s online is superior to ps3’s without comparing them side-by-side under the same conditions. Jordyn said live was better than psn, but he never tried psn on anything but wireless, while his 360 had an ethernet cable. It’s not that I would be surprised to discover that live is superior, it’s just that I don’t know anyone who has done the research. I would however, be surprised if I heard there was a very dramatic difference in the quality of play.
That said, it’s mostly stupid to buy another system when you already have one that plays the same game, unless one system has the arcade-perfect version, and the other doesn’t, and it’s the only game you ever want to play. I just want to make sure that we’re clear that I’m not trying to tell you to buy a ps3. It’s just that I hear that argument all the time, and nobody ever really challenges it.
Wow, I actually managed to call SBO 3s right this time: Winner: Boss (YU) / Rikimaru (CH) / Momochi (MA)
Sad RX didn’t make it to the finals, and Kuroda/MOV going top 4 without a teammate and Kuroda using Q is damn impressive. Poor KO, the curse continues. He’s like the Boston Redsox of 3s, except he doesn’t have obnoxious fans.
They’ve made it to the second round several times over the years, but I don’t think they’ve ever made it to the 3rd. If so, it was Pyrolee’s team several years back.
Let me know when you are thinking about going to Denjin. I am down to visit that magical land.
A couple additions to the arcade. I put in Super Street Fighter II Turbo and updated the cabinet with new competition sticks and button. Also, we are getting Arch Rivals this week.
Also, we have acquired MOST of a 3s board. As long as everything else works, all we need is the cd-rom disc and I think we are good to go. I can’t test it until we have that. Does anyone know if there is a way to copy the discs for a CPS-3 game? If so, I may be able to download the files or find someone who has one to make me a copy.
