I don’t expect the majority of Capcom employees to be reading X-Men religiously but if any of them did with a hint of interest; it’s easy to notice that Cyclops has had a “coming of age” in recent years. The guy has basically become General Patton for the mutant race. (maybe Eisenhower) At least from a story-line relevant perspective, Cyclops has the merit to be included but I’m sure Capcom’s priority is what type of game-play dynamic any character can bring to the table. And from what’s been revealed so far, Capcom didn’t even bring Cyclops up to Marvel. This either means that he wasn’t included because there’s something he isn’t bringing game-play wise or that there’s someone else in mind that’s doing it better. I’ve never been a Cyclops user so I can’t layout a decent argument as to what those game-play aspects would be.

Of course Capcom could just be trolling the hell out of everyone but no one will know that for certain until way after November. Like not until next year when whatever DLC they have planned starts rolling out. Otherwise we’re all just speculating without much to go on.

I think Megaman deserves to be in the game, but i prefer him never to be in the game. The MM tears where just one of the greatness in this UMVC3 hype train, seriously.** I remember reading in gfaqs of a couple of guys have emotional break downs due to Megaman being absent from the leaks and they where trolling around saying that “x was this hint” and if you disagreed you would get flamed.**

Some of them sounded as if they where going to commit suicide.

I got this anywhere I went, campaigning for EXE. I say some things that would be good reasons for EXE, and then 5-10 MMX fanboys would jump out and flame me to death. I got this on GameFAQs, Unity, here, EventHubs, Facebook, etc. Part of the reason X shouldn’t be in right there. >.>

Most are hurr She has Marvel in her name so she should be Marvel’s Wonder Woman DURRRR.

Carol Danvers is alright but she is mostly wallpaper in the comics presently.

You want a relevant, flying overall powerhouse, you go for Moonstone, not Carol.

Eh, Ms. Marvel is a relevant comic book character that happens to be an Avenger and a girl. She should play like Rogue did with fireball/beam attacks. Ms. Marvel is as much of a hothead as Rogue was in the 90’s, so there shouldn’t be too much gameplay differences.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Dark Avengers costume packs for Wolverine, Hawkeye or Ms. Marvel is she made it as DLC. Iron Patriot needs flunkies.

But, yes, we need the OTHER important mutant in this game; **CYCLOPS **
His playstyle IS NOT shoto-clone. X:COTA Cyclops had a lot of options. Mix it with Optic Sweep and Cyclone Kick and he should be fun.

The character I would hope they consider is MOCKINGBIRD. Consider the fact that she’s an Avenger, female, has a show in development and based on previous characters she could be as fast as Psylocke with Eagle’s special move set (escrima stance). Give her a “staff” stance and suddenly she plays just like Gambit minus the card fireballs. Who wouldn’t like that?

1. Megaman incarnation (X, Exe, Starforce, Classic or MZ)
2. Captain Commando - Why him? If both him and MM get in, then we have 3 of capcom’s flagship characters in one game. He’s also nostalgic to the series.

3-4 can be Jin, DS character, villains, asura, what ever.

1. Ms Marvel - Female Avengers. An Iconic Avenger with an easy gameplay concept.
2. Psylocke - Female X-men rep and vs series nostalgia. She’s very requested as well.

3-4 for marvel should be Females of a different team: Hayes, Elektra, Molly… whatever. Maybe Eddie brock too.

I agree with this, besides CapCom.
Not hating on him, but C. Viper is DEFINITELY the “New CapCom” (somewhat) in this game… and her NOT having his costume as an alternate made me a bit salty.

However, real talk, if Phoenix Wright DOES fight with friends, then I’m going to be even more salty, because CapCom KNOWS how to fight with friends and do it… right.
