There is stuff out there that can help you, I don’t know exactly what or where… sorry. But it exists.
I do know that you should refrain from writing to the drive in the meantime so you don’t overwrite stuff. And obviously don’t defrag it, either. Good luck.
Never really had much luck with data recovery it is real hit or miss, imo. Something up there might help though just watch for the free programs that won’t actually let you recover anything but are glad to point out which shit could be brought back… For a fee. 
That’s only because you use shitty software imo. Good computer forensics experts can recover data from reformatted hd’s.
Undoubtedly. There is plenty of reason to question the software used at the time (which is why I did not make a specific recommendation), just how far back I was reaching, and other factors. I was merely recounting my own personal experience as an average computer user.
