That’s good to hear. Hopefully, sales will become stronger an this series can be maintained. I was really impressed with issue 2 and would find it a shame if the series had to be cancelled. Now if I could just get issue 1…
This is GREAT news! so Udoneko,does this mean that there won’t be any other silly talk of cancelling the series?I want this to last until the END like you will do with street fighter. Just like with street fighter,I couldn’t possibly see how this series isn’t extremely popular. Obviously with both issues so far going into second printing means alot,and hopefully now those dumbass comic book and specialty store owners will realize this and order more issues for series 3 and up.
Also,any word on when we will see the powerfoil covers for issue 1 and 2? Been checking every week but still no sign.

Can everyone take a reality check for real? Rival schools? I mean come on, this is getting talked about way to much. From the looks of it even dark stalkers probably has good chance of in the end being a mistake.
I think even thinking about a rvial shcool things is foolish and truely over estimateing is popularity.

Anyways, I still don’t see the point of your earlier post. DS going into a second printing on it’s second issue means interest is still there and rising, which is great considering DS is not as widly known outside the gaming community as SF is.
If these kinds of numbers continue it’s a good omen for Rival Schools.(hint hint: also not as widely known as SF or DS)
This means Udon can keep making the books and everyone can be happy.
Also: success of lesser known properties now opens the door for possible future properties later. cough warzard, megaman cough

Congrats on DS 2 selling out and going to Second printing, Eric. The book is good and deserves success.
Also I think evryone should remember that a game’s popularity is on;y a minor factor When it comes to translating it to the medium of Comics. What will really make or Break it is the creative team behind it. If it was really due to the game’s popularity then the old Malibu Street Fighter comic would still be in print today.
And with Rival Schools in the hands of the same people Who do SF and DS, I’d say it’s in good hands.
It’s all a matter of faith.

Udon has the rights to Rival Schools. It is their third Capcom title. DS selling well is relevant. If you don’t care about RS or DS, that’s you. I didn’t say something incredibly random and stupid like “Wow DS 2 sold out! That’s great! Now can you make King of Fighters Comics?”

congrats, i just want to add the cover for the second printing is not my cup of tea.
i know every artist has their own style, and it brings variety to the title because of the different art perspectives, but wouldnt it be a good idea, to have a good looking cover then an ugly one to attract new readers for the second printing?
and might i add, the cover art for the SF tpb vol 2 by shinkiro is totally amazing.
