huh, host what, I sold that game for like $45 (disc and boot disc only) a grip ago, I only have one more left so you’re outta luck, if I come across anymore I’ll post it though…
I recently got into the Vampire series, and being raised on SF2, I naturally loved it; Not just the gameplay, but the uniqueness of the designs and moves and such.
I’ve played all of the arcade versions except the first, and I have to say that Savior is my favorite. Despite what some have said, I really like most of the background designs and music. Jedah’s stage has to be one of the most creative 2D fighter stages ever conceived (pardon the pun ), and Tower of Arrogance is pretty nice as well.
What I really wish Capcom would do is update VC to include what little the original release left out (such as all of the stages from all 4 game types). They had a chance to do this recently with VC being ported to the PSP, but it would appear that aside from the 1 Player adventure mode, nothing else has changed.
While we’re on the subject of background art, what are your favorite and least favorite stages from the Vampire series? My top 2 favorites would be Fetus of God (like I mentioned earlier… but in the VS1 pallette, not the blue VS2 one… ugh) simply for its sheer creepy brilliance… You can’t play a match there without cringing at least once or twice; and Felicia’s Vegas-esque V/VH stage for its brightness and cuteness; it fits Felicia perfectly, and the illusion of depth is quite good.
Least favorite would probably be Green Scream. It’s a nice idea/theme and all, and the art itself is good, but the overall effect is rather stagnant and dull; lifeless (irnonic, considering that it is full of ravenous flesh-eating plants and snails ). It’s like fighting on a movie set or in front of a mural.
About Jon Talbain, I really hope that if he’s in another game they give him back his comboable Million Flicker from Nightwarriors, and not Saviour’s lame non-ES 2 hit flail, and change his Climb Laser so that it’s like this: Short = 1 hit knockdown, Forward = 2 hit knockdown (1 hit = opponent leaves ground slightly, 2nd juggles immediately after), Roundhouse hits like his current ES version. And his ES version should hit 6-7 times. That’s all I ask…well, not ALL…a female werewolf that plays like the ninja from Warzard/CFJ would be sweet.
I’ve seen a few really good Anaks, they were fast as hell. Anakaris can rush like crazy. :karate:
From what I’ve seen the people who have really strong preasure seem to do the best. Dimitri always seems to be the character who does the best when the other person doesn’t know all that much about the game. (I was all about Dimitri before I visited Japan lol) He has great combo chains and specials, but his preasure isnt there when compared to Sasquatch, Raptor, Lilith, etc…
Right now I like easy-mode (kinda) Falicia with her super high air priority. It does decent against people who do the IAD+attack rushs. And its fun to watch her bounce around all over the place
imo I think Q-bee is actually a lot weaker than what people are saying she is. Suposidly she is played like Vega(claw) with pokes all over the place. But I havnt seen anyone really get it to mesh well yet. She seems too easy to preasure into defense. In a game so fast its hard for a lot of characters to stay there long and win (bishamon maybe…but hes just a beast lol)
Granted Its been a long time since I’ve played this game (and I honestly didnt play it that long lol). But this is some of the stuff I remember, and I like VS conversation, getting a little tired of 24-7 3S talk
yo, I wouldnt worry bout what VAmpire savior says. most of his thinking is shallow, and narrow.
most of the qbees I see are either rtsd, or conservative rtsd.
