Actually, SB is a recent (a few years old ) Capcom game series. So it’s actually the other way around.
As for a SF engine powered Darkstalkers, I am all for it. Said engine is certainly capable of pulling of the look of the Vampire series with the right art direction.

The typical engine worries that were posted ( man hands, SFIV’s body proportions, and slower gameplay ) actually aren’t engine specific to my knowledge. I was under the impression that the ‘engine’ handled things like lighting/shading , particle effects, and other ‘behind the scenes’ operations.

They did do a GG in 3d though. It wasn’t a fighter, but still…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This shit needs to be done in 3d (technically 2.5D) if just so that the devs and the game can try to push the envelope with what can be done with a 3D engine.
That said, I hope they use a different art style than what Ikeno’s using for SFIV. Also, cellshading as I don’t think the shading used for sFIV will fir the franchise.
