Did this Jedah run into any Talbains or Bishamons? I wanna see how he beat those 2, cuz that’s virtually impossible.
bish is one of the characters that jedah beats actually. wolfs play style is just anti-jedah.
none of the jedah players ran into bish or wolf though.
I just wish Jedah had a more reliable way to approach the high-mid to upper tier opponents and a little more reliable anit-air. I’ve gotten better at getting in by doing walk up techs and guard cancels, but the timing is so crazy my fingers are trying to catch up with my mind for a proper punish attempt.
What are the tiers for this game? I’m going with top as Zabel, Bee, Sas, Wolf and bottom being the sisters, Victor, and Jedah.

Depends. Compare the tiers here to something like 3rd Strike where you need to be playing top 4 (or at least have a Chun player on your team) to even just get far in a tournament.
Yes, low tier still requires a shit ton more work than top tier, but not to the level of other games.
I think the 3s viability goes further than that. Chun/Yun/Ken/Makoto/Dudley/Yang/Akuma/Urien. that’s where tournament viability ends IMO. throw in Denjin Ryu as a wildcard for team tournaments. maybe when it’s “win a tournament against top level competition” you have to play C/Y/K/M. but you can get really far with the top 8 characters I think. of course it differs from country to country too. the amount of viable characters in Japan is larger than the amount of viable characters in North America.

And regions DEFINITELY make a massive difference. I mean, if Hayao or YSB came over here, and they were the only strong Japanese player in an American tournament… They’d wipe the floor with everyone, rocking Hugo… So yeah, the skill gap changes a lot.
I still can’t believe these bottom of the barrel characters consistently place in the top 3 in that country. I’m not as good as I could be and even I’m not afraid of Lilith! And didn’t a Lilith win the last Devil’s Playground? I wonder what’s the Japanese’ secret to VSav.
Kaji is just a beast same with Shimatsuya and Oouchi. Also, they don’t get top 8 all the time they still lose out to the top tiers quite often. Hell, the only reason Kazu (an Anak player) got Top 8 in DCC he was partnered with a really good Sas player.
Some weeks ago I’ve watched Oouchi’s Jedah vs Haitani’s Sas, he dominated so much it should be forbidden by Geneva’s conventions.

So what is it that helps them win over the top tiers when they do place high in tourneys? Are the Squatch and Talbain players just having a bad day?
Smaller cast, good players and somehow, a lack of any bs on the same level as other Capcom games.

Anak can’t tech hit?
Anakaris is not gifted with the ability to do push block. He can tech throws; but who cares when it places him in the same situations that he was just in. His uf and ub jump are not fast enough to get away from option select throws.
This causes the character to succumb to tick throw mixups that he just cannot get out of, due to not having universal pushblock mechanics that all the characters have to push the characters off of him. He also does not have a normal ground or air throw which is also universal to the rest of the cast.
However, due to the nature of this game being very momentum heavy he can steal wins just by riding on momentum alone. Having some of the better poke tools and a dive kick with the turbo 3 assist helps him out as his dive kick is actually slow in context to other overhead mixups: sas, bee, raptor, etc.
You wouldn’t want to see him with a regular jump. That float he has is better than the regular jump (Which is in the game just unused).
Jesus, Mummy sucks, is he good at anything besides looking badass?! Does he have any strengths because I sub him, I literally only pick Anak because I hate the Jedah mirror match.
