If you’re not caught up in family affairs, Vampire Savior All Out War is on tonight. It’s an exhibition tournament featuring some of Japan’s top players, and it’s a blast to watch.
Team M5!
So excited for this shit. I can’t believe how many good games are coming out around my birthday.
AOW casuals before the stream starts an half an hour:

Are the regularly scheduled Ranbats still happening on Sunday?
Not sure if this has been asked for or mentioned before, but for YouTube uploads I hope you can upload replays to your personal channel if you have one (for both consoles). You can do it for SFIII: 3rd Strike Online Edition on the PSN, but all uploads on the XBLA version go to one channel.
Make sure player names are displayed on the uploaded replays as well. And not have them look like it was filmed with a potato.
i dont think theres any ranbat this week iirc
What I want to know is if we can get YouTube uploads that are larger than 240p, or if modern consoles are still too weak to render that in the background.
Personally, if that’s the case, then they should have a separate “Edit and Upload” mode where you can adjust a few things about the replay (add/edit player names, add graphics, etc.) and upload it at a higher res (480p at least) at the cost of having to wait for it to render before you can do anything else.
Ranbats are still going to happen this sunday.
Where do you sign up? I can kinda beat Dyne consistently now and he won a ranbat so i wanna see how i do.
Just be on GGPO.
Darkstalkers DCC is live! This is Japan’s biggest tournament for Vampire Savior and Hunter, so if you’re interested in the series or are planning on playing Darkstalkers Resurrection, check out the stream:

Hunter is up first.

The annual Darkstalkers Carnival is coming up next month. A rare chance to witness competitive play in Darkstalkers 1 and Vampire Savior 2. Will probably be streamed on Sakamoto’s UStream channel.
Hi, newish member. Can’t contribute much since I feel unworthy and can’t stay relevant with my lack of SSFIV and UMvC3.
No new info, just a bit of insulting and some comments in a giant ass post to TL;DR over. I hate to reply to old posts, but I just read the whole thread and these caught my attention:
Yeah, and that’s all really painful to hear. It’s just buzzwords, really; fact is that people just don’t want to learn an “old version” of a game when they don’t have a problem with the “new version” and already know it anyway/are encouraged by everyone else. Yet Hunter is a great game and needs more respect; it’s different enough from Savior to matter, in every single area. Having to split off characters the way they did strengthens that just a bit more.
More people need to be like the DCC crowd and just main both.
Is Turbo in Hunter kinda like Turbo 2 in Vampire or Savior? Seemed that way with Hunter and even Marvel Super Heroes. Sounds like a small thing, but it’s good for comparison I guess.
I remember there never being anyone in the GGPO MSH room until recently. The players are few, but they’re there every day and play for hours, which is always fun to watch. I’d really like that room to blow up.
Poor judgement, I think. No one really knows about them, they just go off bandwagoning; same thing with people trying to avoid Hunter.
I think Savior 2 and Hunter 2 are just “weird”, not really “bad” (well, Hunter 2 is kinda dumb, for all intents and purposes). Needs more research into them, really. Of course Phobos is as broken and Donovan is as scary as they’re going to be, but that can’t be helped no matter what you do.
I’d also like to point out that nearly everyone kept their Dark Force, the exceptions being Bulleta (who got a new EX, haven’t checked it) and Bishamon (and Oboro might have it instead, he’s actually properly playable here) from what I saw. Even the Hunter characters got equivalents!
According to Dammit’s research, Hunter Turbo (120%) is slightly slower than Vampire Turbo 2 (125%) or Savior Turbo 1 (123%). Of course that’s just frameskip speed, things like base frame data and such are independent from that and probably change between each game.
Damn.Ressurection got postponned to March the 14th… to improve online (which seems like a good reason).
i wanna get back into this game, ik its a lot of fun mighty tricky but thanx psn for bringing it back now i can practice up on felicia and B.B. Hood
There are certainly worse reasons to postpone a game. I’m perfectly fine with that, and they can tweak other stuff in the meantime as well.
Plus it means more time for Anarchy Reigns.
Wow, thanks. Awesome research here, this is exactly what I’ve wanted for a while. I guess this is why all the Zero Turbo 2s seem so fast compared to the Turbo 1s.
(maybe I should be championing Turbo 1 for Savior instead of Turbo 2 then… but 1 still seems a bit slow (and 3 always seems too fast))
You only played on an emulator.
