Oh for the X-ray attacks. I wasn’t sure what you meant.
In Jedah’s case I would just take the arm away, add a hand and cover the missing stuff up with a blood effect. No need to stretch the arm or do anything with it at all.
It would only vaguely resemble the original and lose a lot of it’s impact like that though. It wouldn’t look as visceral without muscle fibers flailing everywhere and multiple arms being visible at once.
I get what you’re saying now.
I’m looking forward to seeing how they handle the characters’ English voices. Some of the characters in this series would require some TALENTED voice actors to really capture their personalities. Like B. B. Hood. Her actress should have two “different” voices, if you get what I mean, one for when B. B. Hood is acting all cute and naïve, and then one for when she drops her facade and lets her psycho personality come out. Kinda like I-No from Guilty Gear.
Also, they would need one energic voice actor to do Lord Raptor’s voice. I kinda imagine him sounding like D. L. Diamond from Superjail!

Yo, a character inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos is a great fucking idea! I would LOVE to see what Capcom’s designers can come up with for a Lovecraftian character!
Viper’s tits were removed from the final version cuz Capcom is gay. MVC3 brought them back though. Aesthetically, everything in MVC3 is better than SF4. I hope DS4 is made with that team so at least it won’t be ugly.
Because a 3v3 fighter is totally a model for a 1v1 to use excuses and analogies with. The fill rate of the 360 and PS3 sucked, so anything flamey will be slow especially since they used alpha blend for all those flame particles causing a large slowdown.
Why do people keep bringing up MVC3 as an example of the limits especially when the new DS game is a long ways away*?*
MVC3’s models sucked too, especially Hsien-Ko… you’d have to be naive if you’d think they’d recycle old models from previous games. MVC3 didn’t recycle any from SFIV., but…
Spoiler
Hsien-Ko appearance issues
[LIST]
[]Blue costume has skin discoloration issue (Fixed in UMVC3)
[]No fangs
[]Face is a direct copy of Chun-Li, keeping the “permamean” stare, and making her look far less cute than usual
[]The back was also covered by the red area of the dress
[]Too much gloss causing a very hot pink plastic appearance
[]CleavageWindow far too high up leading to a ‘no clavicles’ illusion
[]Arms aren’t toned enough.
[]Even her hair is missing some detail it used to have!
[*]Not cast by Michiko Neya, who’d probably also make the best english voice casting choice for her since the chingrish would provide foreign authenticity and charm to the character instead of Hunter Austin sounding like everyone else.

Apparently not; Hsien-Ko is done so badly this poster’s world fell off it’s axis.
You started going off about clothing that is supposed to be skin tight or at the very least hug the character.
You never had much of a point to begin with if that’s all you have to complain about with that character in question.
Just because MVC3 looks better than SF4 doesn’t mean it looks good overall, especially when It’s not that difficult to make things look better than SF4 to begin with.
I always thought MvC3 was too clean and plasticy. The models and textures just don’t have enough detail.
BTW I hope they don’t bring in autocombos but if they do I hope they do something like P4A. Also autoblock should take chip from normals and doublechip from specials/supers in addition to costing meter.
It’s not supposed to hug the character, it’s a prison outfit for god’s sake. I was pointing out how utterly lazy and shoddily made the models were, and the sprite was a direct comparison to the fact Cody’s clothing isn’t clothing but literally painted onto the model itself. The part where the joints meet is laughable and you can even see the definition of his muscles through out the clothing. They weren’t even trying.
Old school prison get up…he even has an updated version that actually has two parts a shirt w/ collar and pants. The old school prison uniform is not much more noticeably loose in the 2D sprite when compared to the one of SFIV/SFxT. If you believe so then you’re just picking nits.
Anyway they got Cody right…his physique, the sneakers, mannerisms and the chin stubble. He’s like one of ten charaters or so Capcom was spot on in transitioning.
Dude it’s fucking painted onto the damn model, even if the 2D sprite one isn’t as loose (it is compared to the 3d model) it’s not skin tight to the point where you can see his muscles literally formed into the outfit. Look at where his bottom torso meets his legs, or where his forearm meets his biceps. Hell his entire torso is proof of it, look at how his pectoral area is wide but the outfit gets thinner with the lower portion. That’s not how clothes work, even if they are skin tight.
I’m not addressing anything outside of the models either, since that was the primary discussion at hand.
Hey I’m just covering all bases before someone else comes in bitching about his voice actor or some other inane bullshit. If part of the post doesn’t apply to you no need to respond to it.
If you’re speaking in general terms you’re so far off it’s sad at this point. Otherwise this isn’t as gratuitous as Cammy’s abs showing through her one piece.
Take a valium or something.
What the hell do you mean ‘general terms’?
If I need to take valium you need to your eyes checked.
At a planetarium.
You said it as if no skin tight clothing is supposed to show muscle definition. I was asking if this applies to everything that falls under spandex which would show or just extra tight clothes. If it’s the latter then Ryu Yamazaki wears a tight black shirt and his muscles show in almost every depiction of him. And if you think this applies to just the fantasy aspect in video games you’d most likely suffer an aneurysm with the examples I can find in other media.
Yes I obviously need glasses because I’m the one who couldn’t find a normal sized 2D sprite in the first place.
Will you have no clue what you’re talking about.
I just want it to have B.B. Hood.
The sprite is blown up to show that you can’t see the actual definition of every part of his body, I would have thought that you would realize that if I was doing a comparison with two large images like that. I’m not even talking about skintight, the clothing is his actual skin, there is no second layer. It’s like instead of putting a blanket over yourself and saying you’re a ghost you paint yourself entirely white instead. The original sprite of Cody shows that the prison outfit is indeed form fitting to some extent but the model for SF4 leaves no breathing room period, outside of the sleeves which are clearly just attached at the end. There is no actual clothing applied here, it’s entirely painted onto the damn model. It’s akin to body paint.
That’s why I said it was lazy, because it is. If you want to take another crack at ‘what I should be doing’ or ‘how I’m bugging out over it’ than go ahead, even though it holds no merit in what I’m addressing.
