IMO, the thread should have been named the “Create a Barkley’s Shut Up An Jam-Fu Character Contest.”

Ow, that was painful to see. With some work the spider girl concept could work, everything else is unsalvageable.

I was the one who created the aforementioned spider girl concept.
I’m genuinely curious to know how I could have improved upon my character. I purposely left gameplay descriptions vague (like, saying “a startup time of about a fifth of a second” instead of “12F startup”) because I was afraid too many detailed specifics would have gone over their heads. Plus, I may have made her seriously overpowered or underpowered already, so I left several blanks to fill later so that I could balance her later as needed.

Gotta keep it honest and just say; what I wanna see outta a V4 is for Capcom NOT abandon the style of the previous game.

“Abandon” is prolly too strong a word, but I don’t wanna have a philosophical discussion or have to look deep within the game and myself to come to the conclusion that VSav and V4 are similar. I just want’em to add to what’s been established in the previous games.

You obviously put a lot of thought and effort into it. Looks rad!

When in doubt, overpowered is best.

I thought it was the other way around. At least, that was the explanation given by Mike Z when Parasoul was being beta tested in Skullgirls. When people noticed how underpowered she was, Mike Z said the reason was because it’s a lot easier to underpower a character and strenghten her later than to overpower a character and weaken her later.

Reminds me of the English re-stream of AOW this past weekend (or was it DCC? It was late at night and I can’t remember properly…), when the commentators joked about how Capcom would put an all-purpose “Vampire” button into Darkstalkers 4, which would Pursuit and Tech Hit and Guard Cancel and Dark Force for you.
Oh, the horror.

I really hate that sounds like something capcom would actually do before they went to tell IGN and Gamespot how is the really just the same great game only “takes it all back to the basics” and helps give *everyone *a chance…

I going to keep focusing on hoping that there is somebody at capcom who realizes that stuff like that doesn’t work and will try to understand VS

It occurs to me that even if they essentially just remade Savior from the ground up as DS4 it would still be “easier” execution wise than Vsav simply because the game would have a single speed option, no turbo frame skip.
