yea that has been stated a few times already. i dont know how people have come to the conclusion that he builds meter with swords.
i wonder if his slash dimension super is punishable on block. right after he kinda just stands there sheathing his sword for a second and maybe a beam super could actually reach him.
he looks like someone i want to put on my team. i just hope he doesnāt have the ācarpal-tunnel-syndrome-from-training-modeā execution that Dante has. my hands feel like they want to fall off after trying to practice bold canceling and all its teleport/acid rain shenanigans after like an hour or two in training mode.
his teles seem a little slow.

You know I wasnāt thinking about putting Vergil on my team but then I saw teleports and sword ringsā¦I think I like dis gai. Definitely experimenting with him on day 1. Thing is I didnāt like how Dante played, but Vergil though with similar moves still looks very different, a ryu to akuma kind of thing. Hell if it gets crazy enough he might even replace Wesker on my team O.o

I just hope he doesnāt have combos as long as dantes, I know they changed dante up big time and his combos wonāt be nearly as long Iām just hopin this guy doesnāt take his place as in 15-20 marvel second combos. other than that he looks really cool and since his swords are a level 1 I wonder if people might make meter building teams around him, then when u have 5 meters just go to town because you know there will be a certain assist in the game that when paired with swords is just gonna be the ultimate lockdown
Vergil wasnāt really an energetic person to begin with.
Iām so hype for UMVC3 now. Vergil turned out the way I expected him to be. Heās quick, versatile, and pretty mix-up heavy. Iām sure with the right assists Vergil will become a great character with lots of things to flesh out and discover as time goes on.

Itās like a level 1 defense forcefield that hits on contact, and for another meter you can shoot them as projectiles. So more like a level 2 Ouroboros.
I mentioned in the general Ultimate Marvel thread that Vergilās character portrait changes when he goes into DT. I assume Danteās does the same thing nowā¦ Donāt know if anyone here has noticed or pointed it out.

Vergil plays the same as his MUGEN version pretty much. Go download it for the ābetaā test.
Still hope he has some elements of Hibiki thrown in there.
to even get an ouroboros like effect, he needs to spend 2 meters, plus it doesnt look like it lasts anywhere near as long as striders, plus they disappear once they have done hits in close range. i dont know what strider players are upset about tbh. its obvious they arent going to be remotely similar.
On another note. I wonder if those swords are classed as projectiles while they are spinning around vergil, with durability points etc, because if that is the case, id like to see how he deals with beam hypers. it would suck if akuma/dorm/ryu etc could just destroy their durability points and wipe them out by just making him block a beam hyper.
