Combo thread just needs to be called “I’M MOTIVATED”

I agree that some just make threads for the sake of being first and never update it so itll be cool if the Vergil section will have some active topics. I also wanna maintain some threads in the Vergil section but I duntz gotz dat respectz yet. (/Need to stop typing)
And yea his round trip will probably work pretty well in combos, but I use a pad (I dont know if that’s a disadvantage when it comes to charging) but its veryyy annoying for me holding down a button to charge due to the buttons being so close to each other. So Im not sure howmuch im gonna use that which sucks. Well at least Judgement cut isn’t a charge move or I would have died lol.
Well I guess it depends on the amount of HSD Round Trip will have. I know Trish can do it as well, so hoping it the same amount between the two. It’d actually look pretty sick when I’m thinking about it.
I was thinking that it would have been incredibly fun if Vergil was given some sort of jump cancel to make some loop combos with the Starfall. Of course limited to 3 or 4 repetitions, but still there for interesting combos and to resemble what you could do in the game.

That’s entirely true, which is why I had in mind something harder to do. It’s not that easy to do that combo in the game (I myself could barely do it like 3 year ago, I need to retry it if I can get my PS2 to work / with Devil May Cry HD collection), so making it in a level that may resemble the complicated combos from Marvel 2 would be the way to go on that one.
Besides, it should be one combo that doesn’t let you do anything else afterwards, and it should be saved for styling purposes. Both Dante and Vergil are known for being Stylish in Devil May Cry, and Dante got some flashy combos in the original Marvel 3, so Vergil, with less moves, should also have a nice variety of combos. I don’t want him to turn into another Wolverine.
And about the lines, there are a bunch missing. But then again, he has so many that it’s hard to put them all.
Hm you’re right I hope they give him some loops…DMC combos were all/mostly loops anyways and Vergil doesn’t have as many moves as Dante. Or at least some cool short air loop! ;_;. Damn it kills me they made the HSD tighter, I love long combos.

Yea I can see that, im completely fine with that though I hope he’s more like Zero in the aspect of long combos lolo, but no he looks like a beast as he is, let stand if we get our hands on him. People were doing some nice 50/50’s with his Round Trip on the Norcal stream Iirc + its like a mini-lockdown so that’s gonna be good too. Ill find a way to use it even though I hate charging Dx
nearly every character in the game has a loop of sorts and I wouldn’t be surprised if we found one for Vergil within the first week of Ultimate’s release or so. I have faith that he won’t be completely devoid of swag combos. HSD nerf across the board hurts the high execution characters’ potential to do long combos but imho all Vergil needs is a decent 650k (give or take) combo into reset situation to kill any character in the roster. it looks like he’s highly proficient in the reset/mixups part, so now all we need is to get some loops in there.

Regardless of that, what surprised me was that Vergil’s death phrase wasn’t “Ridiculous!”
now hearing the Voice actor’s clear acting, that shit is pretty horrible in DMC3. But in a funny way.
