I really think they will play team DMC. Already have a few friends already changing their team to that.
my friend and I play trishâŚsheâs good and sheâs how i get away from cheap tactics sometimesâŚseriously i get on here and i always find you people bashing characters for being too good/easy/badâŚpersonally i dont think team DMC wont be a big deal. I dont think vergil has very good synergy with dante because both of them are meter hogsâŚi just dont see their hypers working together that well eitherâŚmaximum bubble-well we dont know much about it anyway but the spiral swords would just cause danteâs unending comboâs to deal hardly any damage b/c of damage scaling. I dont know i just see vergil as a replacement for dante(not saying heâs a clone) for whenever you want a change of pace, but they dont seem to compliment each other wellâŚwhich is kind of appropriate because of how different their personalities were in DMC3âŚaside from that can anyone tell if vergil can cancel into different teleports rather than just that one that goes straight to the groundâŚim asking because i see combo potential in the rising sun>tele above>somethin something>falling star>whatever
Thatâs a little old. Still good information for those who havenât seen it.
my bad, it said it was posted today
Being a Dante player myself I feel thereâs almost nothing about him that screams meter hog at least in Vanilla. He can build 2 meters in vanilla without assists pretty easily off a landed ground hit and he doesnât even need to spend the meter if he doesnât want to. He can just let you go and reset you and if he hits you again you die without him burning meter. Devil Trigger is useful but itâs hardly something he needs outside of very specific matchups. His level 3 is nice but he rarely needs that and can do more damage off DHCâs any way.
A lot of the characters that are labeled as meter hogs do surprisingly well as batteries building meter also. There may definitely be issues with the DHC combo potential between Dante and Vergil but I definitely donât see Dante himself as so much of a hog for meter considering on most teams heâs usually the main meter builder (like he is for my team).
I donât see what would be wrong with Dante first building meter for Vergil other than if somehow Vergil just canât land any solid DHC damage off of million dollars. Which if youâre trying to build meter for Vergil youâre better off just going for the reset instead of burning the super any way.
I believe thatâs called hitpause and itâs not weird at all. Itâs an animation style trick to give the impression of a character hitting with a lot of impact. Mike Haggar has a lot of it.
when do the people start whining? I need it too get my daily sodium requirement.
Nemesis only has like 900K
Wasnât Seth saying that Nemesis had the most health in the game thus far?
^Yeah Seth has said on multiple occasions that Nemesis has the most in the game. Not sure where 900k came from.
This is really weird, as I heard from Seth he has low health when he first came out. Must have done some balancing.
Yeah maybe. I can try to find the video if you want. Also if you look in one of the breakdowns of Iron Fist Seth shows off his powered up level three against Nemesis and says something like âonly the Nemesis can survive thatâ.
Well, I believe you. Sorry for the confusion.
At least it makes it worth it to use 4 meters. Say that you had hella damage scaling from whatever the hell long combo you were just doing, the other hits arenât gonna be doing much damage. Since level 3s donât scale you just pop that shit and it guarantees death on everyone.
Yeah, still I dont see Vergilâs combos going on that long, because he doesnt seem to be have the hitstun ignoring moves like Dante AND hitstun decay was increased across the board, making it even harder to do extended combos. However, I know Iâll be using the âlevel 4â to for sure kill problem characters or to finish someone off.
Very true, but I wanna look for excuses to use it lol.
lol, it is like the coolest level 3 ever, and even tho its totally bad gameplay wise (you have to use Devil Trigger then you lose it as soon as you activate the level 3) it looks really sick when you un devil trigger at the end of the level 3.
Team DMC in general is a meter hog. Dante IMO doesnât really need meter (at max 1 super for the combo ender), but Trish is a straight up whore with meter. Vergil will have to fight with Trish on meter management in a team
I dunno. Damage increase in DT alone sounds worth the 4 meters to get rid of a possible threat in a team. I can only imagine how damaging that is in X-factor even with it âtoned downâ.
and once people start finding ways to do damage pre DT, build 4 bars for DT and lvl 3? Dead character if theyâre not already dead.
I think the first thing I will do when I throw on the game (after playing hella matches with my friends of course) is figure out just how much damage this thing does. That is assuming they donât change the damage in a later build of course.
This is what you do. You put Dante first, Vergil second, and a battery third. Build up three meters with Dante, which is one combo, and then when you get the chance, Devil Trigger DHC Devil Trigger DHC whatever. Now you have Vergil in anchor position with his buffed DT assists, Dante in second ready to take over again/regaining hella life, and your third up front. Chances are, by the time Dante KOs, youâll have 4-5 bars ready for Vergil. Thatâs when you activate Spiral Swords and start doing crazy shit.
