I think this should be more of a wakeup call for DP to calm the fuck down with his threats and whatnot. Shit talk is fine, saying someone sucks is fine, alluring towards shooting or stabbing someone is over the line.
I think everyone can appreciate the hype he has brought to Marvel. Even if you don’t like him. He brought many people not interested in Marvel to watch the game(myself, and various others included as said earlier) and that’s one hell of a thing.
At the same time I completely agree with the Cannons for banning him because that kind of serious threat is crossing the line. But here’s what I think…
I agree with Watson. I think Dark Prince and the directors need to have a talk, he can apologize and agree to not make threats and promise a non violent EVO. DP has too many big matches to cancel him from EVO IMO. And although what he did was wrong I don’t think he seriously had any intention of violence based on what I’ve seen of him. Some kind of agreement and understanding could be made if DP is willing to agree that what he said was overboard and that he won’t bring a knife, some dialogue needs to go on. If he still stays all defensive and “gangster” then yeah I think he got his chance and blew it.
But he does have a lot of big money matches going on and it would add to the quality of EVO if he attended. Just my .02
