i think dan is fine as is actually. He was meant to be a joke character and he’s actually pretty good in SF4, so no complaints here

Yeah, because Vega/Rose/Sakura players can complain all they want, but we shouldn’t because Dan canonically sucks.

I was just thinking: other characters get invincibility frames on their back dashes why not give Dan the same on his forward dash.

They could bring back Dan’s flashy Koryuken that makes him invencible, and make his ultra to deliver more damage when you link with super taunt

Dan is the master of running away from battle, not into it.

While on the topic I say shorten his forward dash by half and make his back dash a command run away with start up invuln.

Just straight up run out of any bad situation. Sounds very Dan-ish in nature.

Actually… I think his taunt super should be able to land, and it should repeat the last combo he used, OR the highest damage move/combo he used during the round, like a flashback of a shameful memory… The screen will turn cloudy like a thought and show Dan pulling off his last move like an instant replay (repeating the damage), while he taunts the opponent in reality, and the opponent just stands there disappointed, or in tears… And the KO animation will be like the timeout, or they just walk off the stage embarrassed…

Or maybe he ā€œwhiffsā€ his super (actually lands but animation whiffs), and Go Hibiki’s spirit beats the living crap out of the opponent, and Dan taunts the whole time like he’s S-tier.

Buff his forward and jab a little bit. Give him a closer to real fireball. Bam, Dan is viable. All he really needed in SF4 was a few legit normals and he wouldn’t be a total joke.

If you’re feeling especially frisky with making him usable, give him a legit super / 2nd ultra.

don’t make gadouken travel further. if it’s going to get buffed, make it recover faster.

Naw. Getting away isn’t a problem, its closing the gap that needs work.

And shrink its hitable-hit-box. I’m tired of getting tagged by Able’s Ultra and there are two character widths between Dan and Able.

That’s normal for all fireballs. I don’t see why Dan should be different.
