How much money a game makes has nothing to do with its actual plot. SF and MVC sell quite well but they have no focus on plot at all. COD games sell a ton and their “plots” are nothing but nationalistic and jingoistic “AMERICA FUCK YEAH” pablum.

I think Anita herself is damaging women, and mankind in general, by being a resentful, shallow, big mouthed woman with no proper knowledge in videogames, psychology, philosophy etc. that is needed to tackle big issues. What people have ACTUALLY said was that it’s tiring to see pandering in the middle of games that don’t need it, for literally no other reason than “yeah, throw it in”.
A good example would be the trend for fanservicy outfits in FGs as of late (especially anime fighters), such as Makoto in Blazblue. There’s no reason to have such a pandering outfit in the middle of an otherwise good game. I can deal because I like Makoto as a character but it’s dissappointing.
I don’t give a shit about games MEANT for pandering, but to see it in the middle of an otherwise good game is disheartening.
