Issues:
Easily zoned out
Easily rushed down
DP isnā€™t FADCā€™able on block

Some are saying he is going to end up lower than Dan on the shoto food chain. Though it is early, to early to say things are set in stone, things as of right now have him looking to be mid tier at best along side his angry friend Evil Ryu.

Dan is exceptionally good. I think heā€™s better than Ryu in ae. Also, I sure do wish that when Iā€™ve got some fool cornered and I do a zenpou tenshin into seiei enbu I could do the corner combo. OH WAIT! I SOLVED THAT PROBLEM!~

I just started playing him, I havenā€™t tested him out online. Yes the air dash is gimicky at times, but there probably is a much better use for it (still trying to figure out a good use for the attack that comes out at the end of the dash) plus it is tatsu cancelableā€¦ take that as how you will. What I meant by easy ultra is that Ultra 1 has a multiple amount of setups for it. As for DP not being able to be FADC on block it really isnā€™t an issue in my opinion. You just have to be more careful. I think his variety of moves can screw up multiple opponents (see posts above if you want a reference for that). He still has enough that makes him really good as a character. I can see him being rushed down a issue down the road, but I donā€™t think zoning should be a major issue. Again I honestly see him as a character that needs to be in peoples faces to actually do good damageā€¦ I so I honestly donā€™t see the point of him sitting back and stay there in a zoning war, when it is in his best interest to actually go up into peoples faces to deal damage. In my opinion he has enough tools to do just that

Zoned out as in Oni will run into issues trying to get in on opponents. His best tools for getting in only cover about a fourth of the screen. (Ex: his ex slash goes through fireballs and can punish if you react to their start up, but if youā€™re out of range; youā€™ll still go through the fireball but leave yourself wide open for a big punish.)

His forward throw and f.roundhouse (AA) sends them full screen away forcing you once again to try to work yourself in.

Iā€™m not saying heā€™s terrible, just donā€™t expect him to be a top 10 calibur character. Once people figure him out, then the flaws will become very apparent.
