Haunts: You’re calling people dorky? This coming from the dude who whined about me not making a Makoto combo video?
heh
This thread rocks.
People are complaining just about everything. Tourney stats, who has the biggest cock to ride on, why cant pyrolee be like drop of sunshine and even tournament titles. ROFL LAMO.
Its jes a name guys. Like “World Series” for american base ball. That name has been going on for decades. How can it be world if its only americans that play in it. Bitch about the “super bowl”. LOL. I mean wtf is a super bowl anyways.

Actually the tennis example is a good way of looking at things.
Back in 1999 Andre Agassi completed a two-year resurgence, going from 141st in the world on November 10, 1997 to finishing the season as the No. 1 for the first time, even though he lost the year-end ATP Tour World Championships title match to Pete Sampras.
Why on earth did ATP rankings place Agassi at number 1 and not Sampras?? Because Agassi Won the US and the FRench open that year. And he placed high in the Australian open as well. He got 2nd at wimbledon (the final tournament), losing to Pete Sampras.
It didn’t matter that Sampras didn’t attend those previous tourneys or whatever. What matters is that Agassi did. And he proved himself. Sure Sampras beat Agassi in the last match before they updated the rankings but that isn’t enough. It’s enough to call Sampras the beast of Wimbledon or even the anti-Agassi, but it’s not enough to call Sampras number 1.
Pyro is basically like Sampras and Justin is like Agassi. Pyro’s got the winning record vs Justin, but the number 1 seeding in the USA still goes to Justin. Pyro can be called the beast of FFA or even the Anti-3s Justin, but it’s not enough to call Pyro number 1.
I know Pyro did not attend ECC or MWC or EVO. So we can say he was “injured” during those events. If Sampras was sidelined during the US and french open which Agassi won, Sampras still wouldn’t be considered number 1 after beating Agassi at Wimbledon.
agreed… it may be a video game, but it would be nice to be #1 at something. I will never know how it feels to be #1 at marvel like Justin… WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
As said before, Justin is #1 in the USA.
World 3rd Strike Rankings:
-
Japan
-
FFA
-
USA (Justin Wong)
So…who is going to beat me?
Playahater tourneys at EVO2k5.
Truth be told, the title “World Championship of 3s” was created as a sarcastic response that 5 Star made to that Phillypecker guy. everyone had a good laugh at it and it stuck. so FF held the World Championship of 3s. no matter how you slice it, KO is world champ.
You guys give free 3rd strike lessons to scrubs if I take a visit to FFA? I could use some…
Actually those are your own rankings.
The rankings that the most people believe for North America (and FFA is part of north america) are
- Justin Wong.
Again. Go read my previous post again. You’re like Pete Sampras. Justin is like Agassi. Winning one tournament doesn’t grant you a higher seeding.
If the guys behind the tennis rankings would do 3rd strike North America ratings, then the results would be the same.
Sorry Pyro. Don’t feel bad. You could get number 1 in North America someday. But not today.
Honestly??
Yes, of course. We have all types of players ranging from beginner to l33t.
We are nice guys.
this is ghey.
this is stupid
justin wong beats the shit out of everybody, everyone says hes the best in USA
pyro beats justin at tournament that had the best controls and the best people playing in it
therefore, pyro > justin, pyro > usa for now
and pyro can double perfect 95% of the people in this thread anyway
end of thread
I don’t feel bad at all, your opinion means little compared to what the Japanese and Justin know.
There are 4 third strike regions: Japan, FFA, USA, and the rest of the world. FFA is it’s own region, although it may be located in north america, its third strike skill level is 2nd only to japan.
See box, your reasoning is faulty because it is based on the belief of lower skilled players. They believe justin is the best because he wins their tournaments.
Mine is based on the belief of the higher skilled players (japanese), they believe FFA to be much better than the rest of the USA, even after the evo results they consider FFA better.
The fact is I beat all of the “champs” from the USA, so when is one of your guys going to beat me?
Actually you won one major tournament. That’s not enough to get you a number 1 seeding. Again go reread my post. You’re like Sampras, Justin is like Agassi. Here it is again:
Back in 1999 Andre Agassi completed a two-year resurgence, going from 141st in the world on November 10, 1997 to finishing the season as the No. 1 for the first time, even though he lost the year-end ATP Tour World Championships title match to Pete Sampras.

Sorry Pyro.
You’ve already posted that before, and I explained why it was incorrect.
Don’t you have a rebuttal?
Edit:
Also there is no 3rd strike committee that decides who is the #1 player in the USA. So that tennis argument can get thrown out the door, all we have to go by is “who beats who”.
Actually you haven’t explained why it was incorrect.
You’re like Sampras. Justin is like Agassi.
Sampras beat Agassi in Wimbledon but Agassi was still considered number 1 because of his wins in the US open, french open and his high placing at the Australian open that year.
You beat Justin at FFA but you consider yourself number 1 even though Justin won MWC, ECC, and 3rd at EVO.
What is so different about your situation and Pete Sampras’ that gets you the number 1 spot in North America?
EDIT:
There is no 3rd strike championship belt so your boxing argument gets thrown out the door as well. All we can go by is the major tournament championships. And Justin has more than you for this year. Granted, you didn’t go to all of them, so you were “injured”, but it still goes to Justin.
Look at my edit.
Look at my edit.
let this be the last time, ur “reposting” is borderline spam…
