So the 3s is really some new version? I’ve never heard of this.
i don’t know if it’s a new version… but it’s a different version… like if you’re a urien player, certain unblockables won’t work… and then there are some corner cross ups that have problems too i think… not too sure…
but i don’t mind too much playing on it… i just wish they had more than 2 of the taller chairs there… i realy can’t play standing up
if i’m ever there on the weekday… it would be around 7pm…

Thanks guys, for comming out to check it out. I still havent had time to get any new parts for the store since my time has been tied up with school and work.
As far as chairs go, I will put more of the taller chairs out, for those who prefer them.
As far as the third strike sticks, there were some issues on the second player side, but all issues should have been accounted for, if not just let me know.
As far as game pricing go, For a month, I can see how it goes at 1 token per game, if it increases the traffic then I can leave it at that, if not, I will have to up it back up to 2 tokens. Just trying to run a store. Im sure you all understand.
As far as to what version that third strike is, I have no clue, but im sure I can figure it out for you guys.
If there are any other suggestions or comments dont hesistate to post here, or let me know in person. I know the cabinets they are in are small, but we dont exactly have the space to have all the big cabinets for those games. In due time if I can show my boss the numbers we can get japanese cabinets sooner. As that would be the only cabinet upgrade that he is really intrested in if we wanted to move the games.

that’s cool… the only reason i mentioned the chairs is because i only saw 2… i don’t know if others play standing up… but i prefer sitting … but can’t really sit on the 3s cab on the little chairs… and if 2 people are playing there with the chairs… then there are no others for the other games like cvs2 or mvc2
there apparently is an updated version of the arcade but most if not all tournys will use the old version WITH unblockables. the ones with the unblockables fixed would be like the dreamcast… and from what i could tell… the 3s at valley view has the highly NOT sought after version of 3s.

Went to CZ today from about 10-11am today. Me and Greg tried messing with the 3s sticks to no avail. There are still some issues with 2p side down blocking (alot of weird jumping too). Greg said if he can’t fix it, he’ll just order new sticks. I might stop by again on Saturday.
really? weird… when i went there to play monday… i used the 2p side and it seemed fine… did i break it? :wonder:
yeah thats the version of 3s that no one wants, although all you need to do to update is load the correct version from a CD! good thing the CD is burnable…I have a copy if you need it!!!

U know its funny you guys are having that same problem. The Arcade where Linh used to work had the SAME problem with 2p side, and even though they tried fixing it time and again…the problem would persist. Furthermore, This other arcade in dfw - Tornado terry’s has the same problem with 2p side, we even spoke to the guy that fixes the games there and he told us that he has changes sticks and still he cant find whats causing it!
Bring that shit. It’s UNBLOCKABLE!!

I can see why people don’t like it; it just makes two already non-top-tier characteres weaker.

Updates:
Third strike : 2P side now fixed! Ive had no problems with it since i replaced some parts on it.
(Since we have the undesirable version, if you bring the cd, I will load it up.)
Marvel and CvS2 : Im in the process of redoing all of the wiring on both cabinets, but as of now, marvel should have no problems other then loose buttons, I dont have a button wrench right now, but when I get one, it should solve that problem for good. I am still waiting for buttons though =(

PS: If your bring the cd and im not there, just leave it with Dan, the other guy working there. And as far as loading, all I need to do is swap discs and ta da right?
