RC abuse ftw?
I know this guy didn’t look like what he was doing but believe he does and he is pretty crazy with his execution. It was just a bad round for him thats all. I even seen top player get raped before Ricky vs Combofiend at NCR 06 Ricky pull of an OCV. I just like to say this guy is no noob, it was a bad round for him thats all.
I saw them recording matches at Showdown. I wonder if they’re going to be uploaded.
S-Groove alert!

This is the first video I took at FFA tonight. It’s all I had time to up. I think I’ve got about 12 more I plan on uploading for next week’s FinestKO.com update. Consider this a sneak preview!
Funny how you decided to upload the bad match. Based on that video he is not good at all, and for us to believe that he IS good would require full belief in just your words, because the video does not say any of that. why…
yeah…thats not what the match showed he didnt anti air at alll…actually he didnt do anything at all…lol
you werent any better abusing rc like no tomorrow that will you get raped by a good player and jumping all over the place with no bar isnt smart either
the only thing I saw that was good was that blanka custom that you did on bison that was some good stuff thats about it
Does anyone have some downloadable matches primarily featuring Yamazaki? Or videos in general about him?

Vids from the latest local CvS2 Tournament in Santiago, Chile:
My matches are in there BTW, so feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Later!
Needs more JD on your part.
^
punish those safe falls…a lot of K players are safe fall happy or something, take advantage of that and punish them. try to not do too much flash kick as anti-air on K groovers cuz it’s just easy 1 JD, better players can punish u BIG TIME. are u a new K groover? cuz i see no JD’s for u on a lot of easy stuff like reppuken from half screen away, mai’s fireball from full screen away. remember K groove has shorter guard bar. also learn how to do link supers…like geese cr jab jab mk into DR? don’t waste ur super like that unless ur sure it’s going to hit.
overall u have a nice solid ground game, and i like how u are very patient. props on that
In my defense, I can only say that it’s really hard to JD with charge characters, as I have to choose between keeping the charge or JD. Would you value more the extra health + bar, or keeping the charge? Oh, and my execution sucks on linking supers, so I cant pull out c. jab xx Gigaton, c. forward xx Sonic Hurricane, or anything, c. forward xx DR, though I’d really like to do it consistently. Could it be that it’s easier to do with a stick? Because I play with a regular PS1 DS pad, as I have no money to buy the parts for a stick (at least yet).
Keep the feedback coming, and thanks for the advice!
I’m on the right. is there anything particular im doing wrong with yama. ignore the rolento display.
The Yamazaki looks pretty good.
let’s see
keeping the charge:
- u can do a special move, which u aren’t sure it’s going to hit 100%. if other’s blocked one of ur balrog’s specials, chances are u’ll get punished
- a bit of advantage to move forward from a guile’s fireball, ppl can block, no biggie
- flash kick? doesn’t work on good k/p groovers
JD instead:
- gives u frame advantage, chance to punish on laggy moves
- gives u a bit of bar, that’s why K groove is deadly. if u JD well u get 3 supers for 1 character?
- a little bit of health. at least u GAIN something first
btw, it seems like u rely on charging anti-airs too much. it’s not as reliable as it seems. normal anti-airs have much faster recovery and can do multiple times against K groovers.
so which choice is better? hmmmmm i wonder
calm down on the s.rh with Geese against Yama, bad enough that match is totally not in your favor. and punish people with his strongest BnB variations that go into jaieiken, usually you see c.jab, c.fierce, (lk) jaieiken.
you stunned that rock and all you could think of was a sonic boom? you should of done that combo you did a while after j.fierce, s.fierce xx (hp) sonic boom.
learn to position yourself better with your charge moves with rog, so that your not so deep in for a heavy punish. more mind games, less obvious tactics. don’t get me wrong you have a good game of footsies going there but I see no ticks, empty jumps, or small jumps. with your rog you sit and charge and turtle TOO much, punish those stupid roll ins with grabs/supers. don’t get sonic boom happy against ryu again, if that ryu was smart he would of popped super. against sagat flashkicks are a good option as AA since his normal AAs are very situational against sagat and j.rh works too.
LOL you can hear the complaining about the MAS stick.
“bowl of rox” lol
Any reccomendations in how to close in through Yamazaki’s s. HK and j. MK, then? Oh, and in the stun situation, it’s completely my fault; I was too nervous to avoid releasing the SB that I had already chargead instead of just going for the combo. And with Balrog, it’s just my lack of practice, though I find really hard to do small jump with a pad in the heat of battle, even though I’ve been told that Balrog’s small jump HP (or HK) bothers quite a lot. I have a very bad timing trying to do tick throws when I play sparring matches, so I decided no to try it in a tournament until I learn correctly the timing to get the throw.
Thanks for the advice!
Your Yama was pretty solid. Nice pace of aggressiveness rather than being conservative.
Sagat was okay, but you went for tick throws all the time. Even when you landed hits you could confirm off of.
use s.strong against his s.rh, s.jab if you can’t c.fierce the jump in on reaction, mix your jumps with air (jab)fireballs, if the yama likes to whiff a snakearm after s.rh to keep you grounded, toss a high counter in there for the knockdown and play 50/50 wake ups. and alot of zoning.
