I doubt that Bass would have let Dan have the chance to build meter. Building meter is not save. What if Bass activated while Dan was build meter? That would be the match. Yo watch the video again champ. There is a good reason why Dan is a such a strong player. There is reason why he punished with standing hardkicked 3 times in a row with full level3.

Considering Bas plays a perfect game, I can see that happening. It looked like Dan was fuckin around to me, I mean it’s a casual match. Basically at evo, Bas was having the most difficult times against C sagat even when he was winning. When I mean building meter with sagat (probably vague on my part) it means playing a strong ground game. And really, you would have to be pretty stupid to get activated while building meter. My point is, it’s not “always” a good idea to save your meter til you get a guaranteed hit. Evo 2k4, Dan never got to use his super against Ricky Ortiz. Dan’s not the only good C sagat. Watch some Shiro C Sagat, he does roll supers and combos and doesn’t conserve his meter for finishing supers.
I just told you why he did not use his super.
- To much time on the clock.
- loses super threat.
- loses chance of come back with level 2.
