Cvs2 team formation: discussion/suggestions, etc

Leezy had the right word^^

I have been playing my rugal on the tourney, and as i expected i got hard time against the blankas^^ But at least i learned how to use Rugal more efficiently.
I tried it in R2 R1, and i still don’t know what ratio give him :stuck_out_tongue:
I won’t give up on this character! All i need is to master RC now:rofl:

Laicram>> Nice translation of C’est la vie^^

I think r2 Rugal is better cos his lvl.2 cancel done a lot of damage than others.

But, still need others comments.

Sagat > Rugal easily. Any day. Especially for the r2 spot

What is the match anyways? 7-3? 8-2? Im leaning towards 8-2. Rugal has no real way of getting in without getting lucky.

Yuri>non rc n-ryu. I fucked this dude up bad couple days ago, slapped him out of his tasemenmonkeymadpoo.

Is there really any hope for R2-Vega(claw)?

I want to make R2 Vega work, but I don’t know how. I like Kyo, Mai, Chun, and Cammy… I know, lost cause. >.<

But whatever, R2 Vega will always be on my team. I pick grooves and R1’s at random.

you could make a-vega work but not when you throw away your r1s and groove to random select

a-mai/cammy/vega might work. poke and runaway all day

Oh, I just meant I’m open to suggestions. I wouldn’t mind sticking to a team or a groove if I could find one that sticks out.

Yeah, I do like poke/runaway so that could be a good possibility. And it does give Vega more/better opportunities to use meter. I guess it’s time to learn how to play A-Cammy, hmm…

I assume it’s best to have Mai start so she can build meter (and not use it)?

What problems could I expect to run into with that team? I know Sagat can destroy Cammy, for example.

Xeno play K!

I think your team would be really fun in K. Especially that way you don’t have to worry about meter dynamics, especially like you do in A, where none of your characters have praticularly vicious cc’s, you gotta learn to combo into red impact off of low jump and such though… But past that your characters all work pretty well in K!

I’m havin trouble comin up w/ an a-groove team

I can play: Sakura, Iori, Kyo, Bison, some blanka, Vega, Cammy, hibiki, rock on a-groove.
I play em all very well, but can’t come up with a stable team.

Play Vega, Sakura, Bison, it’s like ricky’s team with BAS’s team, for super stupid combo power… that team would mow down blanka’s that were even a little worse than you, plus sakura makes K-groove a breeze! yay.

p-kyo cammy vega is a really famous team actually (but with r2 cammy of course), and pgroove kyo / cammy / random is the best pgroove team

agroove mai kyo vega

ngroove mai chun vega

cgroove cammy chun vega

kgroove kyo cammy vega

Thanks for the responses.

Kyo Cammy Vega sounds most interesting. I’ll definitely give that one a try in the suggested grooves.

N groove Mai Chun Vega also sounds really interesting, but playing Vega in N groove feels a little daunting. I really like N Mai and Chun, but I’m not sure what to do with Vega when he’s in N. If I pop stock with him I usually just try to get some tick throws and random pokes in. I can’t seem to utilize his lv.1, but if I pop the opponent usually turtles out my lv.3. I don’t really know the best way to use him in N, I guess. Most of the time I run away and people say I should be rushing down.

Usually when I play C I try and have Kyo on my team somewhere (I really liked C Mai Kyo Vega for a while), but I take it that Cammy and Chun are just so much better choices than him? I guess I’m a little backwards, but I really just like C Kyo because of b&b into lv.2 cancel, which seems to do retardedly huge (glitched?) damage for just 2 bars. When I play Kyo in other grooves it feels weird, but I guess I need to focus on playing him in P.

I’ll try that C team too.

i wouldnt go as far as to say c-cammy is straight up better than c-kyo, but that whole team has a consistent theme: fast walk speed, easy whiff punishers, pokefest 2000

Sounds like my kind of style. I’ll focus on those two teams (P and C ones)

Any general/brief advice on N Vega?

nvm… I’ll just play and try and work it out. Thanks for the advice.

kim is fuckin dope.

if only i can do c.lk, c.lk, lk into astroglider or c.mk into astroglider, i’ll port him over from A groove to C groove or even K groove.

me too never fixed any characters in A groove with Sakura, Iori, Bison, blanka, Akuma, Terry…

but, i never change my K groove members - Sagat, Vega & Blanka.

wanna start a P groove team with cammy, ryu and…??

cant go wrong mix and matching up vega, hibiki, blanka, bison and sakura.

usually sakura and vega shouldnt be last and bison shouldnt be first. blanka goes anywhere because he is that damn good. dunno about hibiki though, i dont play her.

Well, even if your going to try and figure it out yourself. He’s a really good battery, nice first slot for N. His level 3’s aren’t worth the pop, but I guess his flip super is decent. Usually from what I’ve experienced (which really isn’t too much), he dies way to quickly… But he’s a nice fun character to poke around with (no pun intended)

^ I’m using Vega as strictly r2.

Mmmmm N-Vega as r2. That would be interesting. I kinda want to see this in action.
