Cvs2 stun system?

Do some things reset stun? Does stun diminish with time (3s)? Does every character have the same maximum stun? What attacks do riciculous amounts of stun?

I think the stun meter, which isn’t visible, resets to 0 if the opponent doesn’t get hit for 3 seconds just like on training mode. And moves that do heavy stun damage are:

-Evil Ryu’s Metsu Hadouken (instant stun)
-Zangief’s Up + Fierce Headbutt.
-Ryo’s super punch moves (instant stun).

Stun meter resets after 3 seconds.
Different characters have different stun points. Easiest way to find this out is to go to training mode, pick a character and select…
Start > Training Option > Attack Data > On

You’ll see at the bottom of the data there will be a 0/60 or another number.
The number on the right is the max number of stun points they have.

Kyo and Dhalsim have 60 for example.
There are combos to knockout most of the stun points. Usually during CC’s with no ender that are comboed in the begining and the end.
Example…
A-Sagat vs. Kyo in corner.
Sagat jump in RH, st. fierce, fierce DP, activate, tiger uppercut xN, fierce tiger uppercut as the meter is begining to go out of CC mode. Kyo gets stunned.

Certain things keep the stun meter at a certain number thats it’s already at. CC mode keeps the stun at the same number it was before u activated. If the opponent keeps blocking attacks without getting hit, the stun meter will stay the same. If they get hit, obviously the number will get higher.

This works the same exact way as the guard bar.
you do a certain guard damage amount to them. After a few seconds it starts to fill back up. If you make the opponent block something again, the guard bar stops filling. Stun resets guard bar.

And the damage required to stun goes up by 10% after each stun (I think)

throws don’t reset stun, only time does… not getting hit for 3 seconds.

stun goes up by 3 pts everytime you get dizzy (heh, like that’s gonna happen more than once)

dunno how the stun damage is determined, but i’ll check out the damage/100 thingy l8r

Throws themselves do not reset the stun meter, but the time it takes for them to be peformed. There are a few throws in the game that happen quickly enough so the stun count doesn’t reset by the time the other guy gets up. It is possible to tick someone into certain throws, then give them something meaty as they get up, so they will retain their stun number.
