See you all there!
CvS2 FOREVAH!!! :rock::rock::rock::rock:

As for Combofiend, let’s just say it was a terrible choice for one of his relatives to get married on EVO weekend.

Yo, Sanchez, I don’t know if you tried hitting me up, but I have a new number. I haven’t checked up on the CvS2 side tourney, so I don’t know what’s been going on. For sure, I’m still entering. I also have a friend who wants to enter the CvS2 tournament. His name is Jae V. Could you add him, please? I’ll text you with my new number and give you his info.

  • JC

Somebody get buktooth and magus on the line

sounds good jc. yeah text me your number please. i’ll add jae v to the list

list has been updated. last update to this page will be at 2pm, if you need to enter the tournament and you have not preregistered, please see us at evo.

Is it too late to register? Who do I need to speak to, and what other kind of info do I need to know?

you can still register. i’ll add you to the bracket

ok online preregistration is closed. if you need to registered please do it tomorrow at ceasars. here is the bracket for those of you who want to know

the last 2 people who registered are not on the bracket yet, don’t worry, we’ll place you eventually. thanks
EVO CVS2 Side Tournament - CHALLONGE!

somebody should record the finals and put them on youtube. glad to see you’re keeping cvs2 on life support!

peace

Thank you sir!

cvs2 tourney notes

I just want to say first that the tourney was a great success, and thanks again to all my fellow organizers. Fervor, LionX,Firearms and Willy all busted their asses to make the tournament run smoothly, you guys rock.

Full tournament results may be found here: EVO CVS2 Side Tournament - CHALLONGE!

Cliff’s Notes Version:

  1. Gene Wong (undefeated, did not drop a game)
  2. Rugal B. (Gene Wong, Gene Wong)
  3. Sanchez (Rugal B., Rugal B.)
  4. VDO (Johnny N., Sanchez)

Some quirks: Pork Soda actually beat Master Chibi for 16th place: we swapped Chibi and Derez to buy Derez and Nick T some more time to avoid having to DQ anybody. Also, most of the game scores were made up, since I only got to see the top 8 matches for the most part.

On a side note, out of 45 players who preregged, 21 showed up and participated. Asdfghjk…Thanks everybody who showed up. Only one person has an excuse, which resulted in the first tournament “DNP-JAIL” I ever saw.

Keep an eye on 2000_Watts youtube channel for the tournament vids: YouTube - 2000watts’s Channel

Give this man his props while your at it. The “official” cvs2 side tournament videographer is the only reason you’ll get to relive what may be the hypest US cvs2 tournament this year.

Lastly, pm me if you have any complaints/suggestions about the tournament. I’d like to know how we could’ve done better for you guys. Anyone who is still playing cvs2 in 2010 even with the stupid pressure to sell out to sf4 deserves no less than the best!

I-ii-i know that you’ll…beee…baaaaaack

I remembered this past weekend how fun CvS2 could be. Shoutouts to everyone for showing up and playing! =)

Yeah, I found out later that my stick was literally locking up during my matches, but hey, shit happens.

I forgot that people could change character order in this game even if they won. I’m just used to people NOT doing that for some reason.

:looney:

‘-’)b

I wouldn’t be surprised if many of those who preregistered that didn’t show up were too busy with their SSF4 pool play. Good thing my SSF4 pool play was in the morning or I might have missed the CvS2 tourney as well. Unfortunately, it seems like Friday may have been the only time to do the tourney since they close the casual areas down before 9pm on Saturday due to the Bang the Machine documentary. The tournament also took at least 7 hours to run.

Shoutouts to everyone I played CvS2 with both on casuals and tourney play and it was nice talking to you on Sat, Mr Warzard. And of course, thanks to tournament organizer “Fervor” aka “Kilomax” aka “Sanchez” for bringing me to EVO in the first place. I’ll make sure to be on time for any future FFA CvS2 tourney you hold. I ended up playing CvS2 more than I did SSF4 during the whole EVO weekend.
Hopefully, there will be another one on EVO 2011.

GS Robin

may be my most memorable evo moment yet.

Just want to say mad props to you guys. Good shit. Cvs2 must never die!

Who got slashed by K-groove Haomaru Ratio 4? That guy was straight trollin’
