Ino: Because I can do hop forward into cross-up (!) Blanka super.
I’m never ceased to be amazed at how creative top-level players can be. Take two already tricky super setups, put them together, then…
All the black people in Philly: “Damn! how you do dat?”
(apology if I offended anyone again… :D)
I recommend anybody who seriously wants to learn some high level Blanka strats to pick up Nibor and Chris Low’s NEC3 DVD. It’s crazy with a capital K and W…
Blanka’s empty short jump up and down repeatedly is too fucking good.
Outside of the opponent’s longest poke jump up and down. They jump, you fierce it. They poke, you fierce it. They roll, you roundhouse or land throw. Train them to sit still and watch you, then land and get first choice of attack.
Actually for Blanka I use the d fierce super more than standing fierce super becuz chances are you will throw your opponent if you go for that combo unless you’re already comboing your opponent.
Oh and some other advanced tactics that I’ve never seen anyone do is… Crossup forward, shock (end shock early) ducking forward into blanka ball which Guard crushs, then d strong into level 3 super for one huge blocked combo into super
Yeah, I know what you mean. When I’m not practicing Street Fighter, I’m trying to learn GGX myself. But the unfamiliar notations they use on sites like gamecombos are driving me crazy (ie. the numbers, IAD, FRC etc…). Your best bet for a SF key is to check http://www.gamefaqs.com and look at one of the CvS2 guides there. I’m sure one of them explains all the notations and such. RC means to roll cancel by the way.
Edit: (three weeks later…) I just realized this thread isn’t very newbie friendly at all. If you’re a tekken player or something then come here and read this, I’m pretty sure 90% of it won’t make a bit of sense. Ok, if you’re new to Street Fighter in general (which I’m guessing this dude is) James Chen’s CvS2 FAQ is where you’ll want to go first. It’s floating around… somewhere. After you get the general gist of the game, that’s when you should read this particular thread or any other character thread on SRK. Whatever you do, don’t read the character faqs on Gamefaqs. A lot of the information there is unfortunately just wrong (not to mention stupid) and will only make you lose in competitive play. (so come here first!)
Great idea with the d.MP into super after a guard crush ball. I had no idea that reached and definately wouldn’t have thought of it myself. bite Good stuff :).
Roberth:
The dvd is great… if you’re willing to part with the 30 bucks to get it. Too pricey if you ask me. But getting to watch Ino’s Cammy, Blanka, Akuma, and 3rd strike Makoto is way too good though :D.
get the dvd, there’s gotta be at least 60 japanese cvs2 matches on it. all great stuff. they alone are worth the money. of course, I only paid $25 since I got it in person.
