In response to Heat, thats what I thought you would say and thats basically what I do but sometimes there is something that you may have either forgot or can pick up when someone answers a question which is why I asked. You can never gain enough wisdom on how to play.
The only other thing is I need another backup K Groove character but my only other decent characters are Terry and Ken.
yo without question k-ken definately…his s.rh and f+rh will be a really effective tool against turtlers plus hes just better than terry…from personal experience ken is waaay better, and he has beastly rushdown and guard strings…
Yeah I know his roundhouse is pretty beastly, and he is basically an AA machine. If your stupid enough to jump at Ken when he is raged you deserve a shinryuken anyway. But I would still imagine P Groove would be a bitch to play against as they would be waiting for the roundhouse any jumpin attacks and the crouching foward.
I do shinryuken everytime I’m raged and somebody jumps. Even when they jump in from a far angle where my shinryuken only does one hit or whiffs completely :D.
1- Ino jd the 3 first hits of Sagat kick super and BOOM tiger uppercut before it is finish.
2- Good props to a video of R. Sigley against A-Sakura of Ortiz(aka “the little bitch that we ALL hate”)…Sakura activate right in his face…this guy JD the whole sho sho sho shit for almost 5 sec…but he eventually miss and die lol. ! day we will have it all hahaha. that thing was tight anyway…(everyone is screaming and laughing at the back).
Yep for #1, Ino did that during Evo 2k3, it was something nice to watch, also he JDed like 10 hits of Honda’s slaps before Honda stopped, you just saw the life go up for Ino’s Sagat.
Next thing you know, He JDs Chun Li’s Kick Super (which I’m trying to do)
As for #2, I haven’t seen that yet but sure sounds crazy to JD all those hits
I’ve never had a person throw a random Chun Li Kick super at me yet (Not even for the chip damage) so I can’t practice JDing those hits unless I do it at home (which is hard to do w/out an arcade stick) I do have the timing down for each hit of the super though, its all about timing and then actually JDing the damn thing,
The way I get to practice JDing, I set the human player to JD all when I do record (in training mode) and the supers I get the timing of JDing the hits, then I practice doing it myself.
95% of Chun players will always link the super from a quick low hit. You can JD the low hit, then start JDing the next hits after the super flash. I’ve got 5 or 6 JDs in before I couldn’t catch up, but yeah, JDing a Chun super is really embarrassing to your opponent.
Well, Chun players can do a crossup short, c.jab x2, c.strong XX Super, but if I JD the first few hits, noone is stupid enoughto throw the super out. But still, it’ll be fun as hell to JD.
how important do you think it is to JD good? I play around with K once in a while and can’t JD for beans, but I don’t do too bad with it. so do you think it’s worth it to use K just for the Rage and small jumps and stuff, even though I can’t JD a thing?
JDING comes with consistant practice of JDing. JDing ability decreases when you don’t practice it. If you can’t JD K is still useable because RAGE makes you strong.
When I first started playing CvS2, i used C-groove. It seemed less complicated than all the other grooves at the time, so i used it. I started choosing K when i would play against the cpu’s shin akuma or god rugal. Since i got a fast level 3 that i almost always caught the cpu with, it was easier for me to beat them. I didn’t wanna use K-groove because i wasn’t great at JD’ing, but as i used it more, i started JD’ing more and more through time. Now i can JD pretty effectively and it’s my best groove. Just keep playing it and JD’ing will naturally come to you.
alright, I can JD pretty good, but I do have a question. On supers that freeze the screen such as a sagat fireball lv3 super…if you jump in and he does that and you are DEEP, hitting back when you see him do the super does not work, you have to have already hit back before the super froze the screen…this shit is hard to JD, lol, I was just wonderin if people had some ways of increasing effeicency
That’s VERY difficult to JD. I can usually predict an anti-air move coming on when i jump in against sagat. But when he does the tiger shot super, i can usually just defend the first hit, but eat the rest of it ;\
