CvS2 is now online for pc

I asked why GGPO didn’t support naomi games. This was the answer I got.

Has anybody ever heard or tried the Makaron Naomi emulator? I was just curious if it had online play. That would be sick if CvS2, GGXXAC and MvC2 could be put on GGPO that way

Tell him I’ll buy 4 fucking titants to play cvs2.
I’ll shove 3 of them in my sex holes and use one to play.

Fans making a CVS 2 online before capcom does? Capcom, Y U NO MAKE CVS 2 ONLINE EDITION.

The reason GGPO doesn’t have CvS2 (and what the post right above yours tells you) is that Final Burn Alpha doesn’t support NAOMI, and therefore doesn’t support CvS2.

i have pcsx2 and demul netplay setup i havent been able to test it out yet anyone interested in trying

absolutely biggest news for cvs players in the world.

we also hope one day , capcom can remake this game,
make it in 2 versions,
one is arcade version for rolling cancel
one is gamecube version

and both versions can be played in psn and xboxlive

Gamcube and XBOX versions are the same. The Playstation version is the one with the roll cancel

I’ve been playing via this PCSX2 add-on. The netcode is really nice, somewhere between SF4 and GGPO, and automatically detects input delay when connecting.

If you want an example of it in use, I recorded one set versus a guy living in Midwest US from my location in the UK. Even then, it was quite playable (4-frame delay). I had no issue with things like anti-airing, I just haven’t played the game very much. For anyone playing within the US, I’d imagine it would be even better.

That’s dope I would love to play cvs2 online. I completely suck at the game but I would love to play other players. Hopefully we can get people jumping on this.

@SNAAAAKE‌ confirm this

I’m gonna try this pretty soon if anyone is down.

How the hell do I boot straight from a PS2 disc?

I’ll play if anyone interested feels like testing it out.

i just got the emu since Im back in the states, I get actual internet Monday (using 4G on my phone tethered currently) if anyone is down. Skype me at RagingstormX.

Was playing with a guy from the USA with no problems last night, and I’m all the way in Ireland.
Check the link for how to set it up.

I’m pretty sure you guys had a good 4-6 frames of delay, which is a big no-no

I found it perfectly fine for low level casual play.

Jesus, I posted in there 3 years ago. Did they ever get this to work well offline? Are there ANY stable emulated versions of CvS2 right now? Because last time I tried, everything was ass.[/Yes there are well offline versions such as mame, nulldc and demul version 0.57.]

Confirmed. PCSX2 seems to have input lag even offline, unless there’s some way to mitigate using different settings. It’s as bad or worse than the PS3 port.

That is to say, it’s playable for someone looking to learn cvs2, but unsuitable for competition.
