Against shotos, resort to a lot of walking and s.Strong, since most of their real offensive options are ass unless they’re in a groove that lets them run. Chun-li can gain a lot of momentum and you can basically whittle away their guard bar into nothing. Jumping in some cases can be tough, since you might want to go for a cross up or something, the shoto c.Fierce is a pain to get by, but otherwise, you can just do a lot of stuff that links into s.Strong. Use of Fierce Kikokens in any of her guard crush combos makes them a little powerful, adds chipping, and builds meter.
If and when a shoto does try to attack you, either dash past their attempt at a crossup, or do an early j.RH. If you have an N groove Chun-li, use of running and low jump Short -> RC Lightning Kicks is something that will DESTROY a guard bar after a few times. I’m very inclined to say that Chun-li has an easier time against a shoto that most other characters. And if you find yourself fighting against a run groove shoto, don’t be afraid to use that alpha counter if you find yourself stuck, especially if you’re using C/N Chun, meter builds very fast for her and ACing a run offense is definitely recommended.
damn 22 pages of chun li. i will read later. my chun is crap. but do you agree that C-groove Chun is the strongest due to her 100% combo. M.Bison/vega A-groove also has 100% combo. is there any one else??
i think the Chun combo is this but i forgot a little maybe.
close hp xx supper kick lv2,
super jump cancel HK
close HP/crMK super kick lv1
super jump cancel hk.
its on the web some where.
It will only kill off a ratio 1 character. The one on the Mr. Mem video works ONLY against Rolento because he’s the only character with big hitboxes that has a 60 stun meter.
Besides that, I would think C/N Chun as a tie, with STILL N having a slight advantage. I mean, Chun with short jumps is REALLY damn good. The only critical thing I see her losing is dash into RC.
Anyways, that combo should read as:
crossup short, c.jab x 2, c.strong xx lvl 2 kick super, rh lightning kicks (2 hits), a) c.jab, c.strong b) s.fierce-> (either will work) xx lvl 1 kick super, then a followup.
