Have any of you guys tried playing CvS2 online? I’m curious if it’s good practice. It seems like it’s a good way to get games in when we can’t get any sessions going. I would try it myself too, but I’m stick-less at the moment. If you guys want to try it but don’t have a usb hookup, I can let you borrow a ps1->usb converter
I need someone to test it out with…xD So i am down. I will be down at SoCal for family stuff for a bit and maybe check out AI. But when i am online at my hotel hit me up. I THINK i got it set up right.
Brotherman, Lionx, or anyone else. Could you guys give me some info on how to set the game up? It’d be awesome to play some games against you guys again.
@kinkey: People are playing at MGL and SVGL, though things have been more on the dl lately. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to go as usual. Also keep an eye out for the next keystone event, we’re hoping to have a bigger cvs2 presence than last time.
The issue with console is finding a place to play. If anybody wants to have people over, they should post up here. Of course, it helps if you are known by people on the forum, so that we aren’t going over to a total stranger’s house to play. That’s where going to the arcades helps.
Welcome back…what’s with you going to socal all the time now, anyway?
Also, are you serious about running a side tourney at the October Keystone thing? If so, I’d ask Albert about getting 2 or possibly 3 setups going. Last time was way too crowded for one setup - the line was long, and I saw a lot of players come by, see the line, and take off. You may need to arrange to bring your own ps2s, since at Albert’s house there was never more than one ps2 set up.
My brother is going to UCR so i had to drive him down for moving-in day. So i stopped by AI for fun
Pretty sure most people in this thread will only show up for CvS2. I know me and my East Bay friends (maybe 3-4??) would only show up if theres CvS2.
Other than that i am not sure, i mean i am hoping other people might get interested and want to play too. If nothing else i would like 2 casual setups and i am willing to bring my console/game/stick (dunno about TV though…). So theres interest from me for sure, and side tournie if possible, but at the least casuals all the way through to show support to the game and gather interest.
Yo, gonna be in the Milpitas area for about a week in a few days. Is MGL still poppin?
I’m also down for console sessions. Actually, console preferred as I need to get used to japanese sticks for CvS2 finally…
