CvS 3

Sorry, but HD Remix looked like crap to me. Its just comic book art traced over early 90’s sprites and animations. It might as well be called Street Fighter: The Comic Book Remix.

Also, I don’t understand whining of adapting KOF characters into six button gameplay. Technically KOF characters have five basic attacks if you think about it (LP, HP, LK, HK, and the Knockdown Blow). Its really one more attack than they’re used to.

One thing I wish Capcom would do is to stop spamming the original SF II roster all the time like they did in CvS1. I know its the SF game everyone remembers, but I don’t think there are many people out there looking forward to play as E. Honda or Balrog (Boxer) in each new Capcom game.

SvC Chaos, for all the hate it gets, at least has a slightly more varied Capcom roster. I applaud SNK for choosing Hugo over Zangief (I would’ve preferred Haggar, but still). Now if only they would’ve chosen Dudley instead of Balrog, and Oro instead of Dhalsim.

possible…but highly unprobable because the devs dun have enough development time to implement such a feauture

capcom: lp, mp, hp, lk, mk, hk
snk: a, b, c, d, a+b, c+d

one of the reasons these games were able to work in the past is because they can re-use many graphics and wut nots to further cut-down production time

the prob now, is that we’re in the next-gen era
so they’d either have to stick with last-gen graphics, possibly redrawn hd style ala hdr (ew)
or have to put in a lot of more time developing the games…which wont be worth it dollar-wise

only way i see this happening is if either they re-use sf4 graphics, or re-use kof12 graphics

It smells like you dont know what your talking about. How much cvs1 did you play competitively? And then how much time before you took a dump on cvs2? And I still want to know what “crazy combos” you were talking about. Level 2 super, level 1 super juggles. Level 3 super, level 1 juggles? c.sk x n, c.fp xx upper x 2121531534354354354 with nak? I mean really.

Everything needs Dudley.

I agree. In particular I always thought it kind of ridiculous how most crossover games are really just composed of Street Fighter. I understand its Capcom’s leading 2-D fighter, but really. Its “Capcom” vs who-ever, not “Street Fighter vs KOF”. They need a bit more diversity. Another reason why I like SvC, despite its imbalance.

what the fucking fuck are you talking about exactly?? cvs2 is the best and the most technical fighting game ever created and ever will until maybe cvs3 can top it. its still better than all other snk fighting games COMBINED.

Id say keep the same engine/grooves and add more characters and high def(NOT SF4 2.5d shit) hdremix style sprites. and obviously wanna nerf down really high damage CCs and get rid of roll cancel(because scrubs cant deal with it…). adding more grooves might work too but I cant think of anything else you can possibly add to the engine. its already godlike

LOL! Love is blind…

O and leave in the color edit mode. That was the bomb…:wgrin:
I made some many characters with that thing…

That’s why PRO was created. Research more, dude.

@SnaAAKE: Blowing nonsense out of your ass is pointless. CvS 2 being better than ANYTHING is your point of view.

if you seriously care about snk or capcom characters being “represented” properly you would be better suited to watching anime than playing fighting games

Uhm okay…

tvc is garbage lol. controls is sluggish. you do things and it doesnt…work. plays kinda like arcana hearts if anything.

you know you agree with everything I just said :wgrin:

Uh what

I heard that game is almost as broken as XMvsSF. Is that true?

Everyone raise their hand who played cvs1 in tournaments at the arcade or otherwise?

raises hand

NOW, who all cared about a cvs1 UPDATE when cvs2 had been announced and was about to be released 3 months later? No one played pro seriously (to my knowledge) because it was WAY to late to drop something like that. Everyone who really played the game, played version 1 with level 3, level 1 combos, c.rh xx shinsho combos, OH WOW ALL THE COOL combos.

Well that’s YOUR business. I’ve played the game and I liked it. All versions of it in fact.

If you’re going to just say “nobody played it”, it doesn’t change the fact that this version existed.

Same thing for most FGs that get updates. Some still play GG Slash over AC because it was more stable.

And you still havent given a real reason how cvs1’s gameplay is better then cvs2.
Im not saying some games don’t have shitty sequels but, in this case the sequel was the better of the two.

he is just an idiot probably played the computer for 10 minutes and be like “ah fuck this I dont like the music…cvs2 sucks and not worth my dvd I just burned:bluu:” goes back to playing kof8534

agree. why are we even “discussing” cvs2 anything with this guy? clearly he has NO fucking clue whatsoever. talking about how 4 buttons setup is better and shit…

Anyone notice, Ono wants to do every project that relates to fighting games. I am sure if you asked him about a possible sequel to PowerStone you’d get the same mechanical response…

if the fans demand it

and the game sort of failed in japan? What…

I think Ill go back to not aruging dumb points on srk. Hit me on HDR if you are ever on psn.

How can I convince someone who already has his mind made up? It’s like how you can’t convince me that Capcom actually actually made this game with both sides in mind.

Like I said, your opinion vs mine. It gets us NOWHERE. Just love CvS 2 from your POV, and I’ll dislike it from mine.

We need companies to be on even ground no matter what type of crossover is being made.

I thought everybody knew that the only reason for CvS Pro’s existence was because Capcom was obligated by their contract with SNK to make 3 CvS games.
And since they were lazy enough to know they had no intention of making CvS3 down the line, they made a quick quarter-assed rehash of CvS1 and shoved it out on the market just before CvS2 came out.
